Something I love is the fact that nobody is telling Root to move on. None of these guys are telling her “snap out of it, we all miss Shaw”, because they understand that Root misses her the most. They understand her heartbreak, and they respect it. They are giving her the time and space to grief in whatever way she needs to, while keeping her grounded to carry out the mission, to make sure she doesn’t lose herself. They are not falling into the tired cliché of “men don’t do feelings”, and I think that’s amazing.

root’s ‘really?’ glare is just the *best*. like, root couldn’t believe the stupid that was coming out of john’s mouth. and john all of the sudden remembered the time he went rogue and the whole team had to go get him. in that second root remembered all the reasons why she keeps calling him names.
