🌽Full corn harvest moon in Aries, September 29th 2023, 11:58:21
The full corn harvest moon marks a time of completion, release, closure, transitioning and transformation. It's a good time for rounding up large projects you've been working on earlier this year.
The full moon being in the fiery sign of Aries can heighten emotions and the need to release these emotions. At the same time the moon being in Aries, which focusses on self-improvement and ones own needs, opposes the sun in Libra, which focusses on relations. This urges us to reflect on our own role in our relationships and to achieve compromise through negotiations, to meet both our own and others needs and find balance in relationships and the confrontation of lingering issues. The full moon in Aries signifies a time for renewed action and the release of stagnant energy that has been holding you back. Aries will influence the energy of the full moon, giving you enthusiasm, courage and determination to take action and tackle challenges.
Aries being focused on self-improvement also opens up new horizons and the possibility to find further insight in your life's mission and soul's purpose and take steps to pursue this.
At the same time it's important to not give in too much to Aries impulsive energy and instead of acting before thinking try to slow down a bit, take things step by step and think before acting, while practicing some self-control of emotions. Although initially experiencing feelings of being stuck or feeling uninspired, the full moon in Aries calls for change and encourages assertiveness. Through focusing on self-improvement, experiencing heightened self-esteem and learning from past mistakes this time is a time of healing and a time of taking steps and action to grow and build towards a better future. 🌙

On the 6th and 7th day of the month Thargelion in hellenic polytheism we celebrate Thargelia, the main festival that the month is named after. This is how I celebrated this year (2nd year of the 700th olympiad):
On the first day I honored Artemis by:
On the second day I honored Apollo by:
I honestly wanted to do more and spend even more time on Thargelia, cleaning the house among things, but due to busy work and such I didn't get around with doing so. I also intended to fast for 1,5 day but when I got a little headache at 2 AM I decided the time had come to eat something small in between, but after that I fasted again. I still enjoyed Thargelia, mainly because my cooking turned out so beautifully and I felt proud and by focusing so much on what Thargelia, Leto, Artemis and Apollo stand for, and tried my best to focus on cleansing myself physically and spiritually.
Kala Thargelia to all of you who celebrated!

Tonight on the 5th of may we celebrate the full flower moon. 🌕🌺
The full moon will be in the water sign scorpio and is also influenced by the planet Pluto going retrograde. This is a time of transformation and intuition and inner wisdom.
One night later on may 6th/Mounykhion 16th in hellenic polytheism we also celebrate the festival of Mounykhia, a day on which to honor the goddess Artemis and her connection to the moon and role as a moon goddess.
Two days ago I started preparing by researching the full flower moon and Pluto going retrograde and I chose which oracle cards would fit nicely with this full moon to put on the altar to Nyx, especially since the full moon would happen during the evening and night time. Yesterday before leaving my apartment I re-organized my altar, brought an offer and put up the altar cards, one to show of my gratefulness to Nyx, the gods and the moon because I received a lot of signs, consultation, guidance, strength, positivity, happiness and luck since the last full moon so this full moon it was extra important for me to show that gratitude. The rest of the cards were to really tap into the specific themes and energies of this full moon and to manifest good upcoming things for this month and the near future. I also put up the oracle card representing the element water since the full moon will be in scorpio, a water sign.
I spend the day of the full moon by wearing a shirt with the moon on it that says "tonight is the night", and went to buy cake with my mom to celebrate. Mom actually came to get me to go outside and watch the full moon, but at that time the moon was still rising. So later in the night we went outside again to watch her shine really bright and beautifully. We stood outside for a while looking at the moon and focusing on the silence of the night and the beauty of the moon and her light. During the night I also listened to my devotional playlist and watched an interview with my favorite band and they actually also mentioned that it's the full moon today and that we should do a little ritual ;)
Blessed be!

The word ‘Beltane’ derives from the Celtic god Belenus or ‘Bel’, meaning ‘the bright one’ and the Gaelic word ‘teine’ meaning ‘fire.’ Together they make the word ‘Bright Fire.’ On the eve of Beltane, bonfires were lit to honor the Sun. People jumped the fire to cleanse themselves of bad luck or negative energy and to bring fertility. Couples jumped the fire as a form of handfasting.
Beltane represents the height of Spring and the approaching of Summer. Nature is bursting with fertility. So, the theme of Beltane is the celebration of joy and the sexual nature of life. The Goddess of Spring (also goes by the name; the May Queen or the May Bride) and her consort the Young Oak King or May King, personified as the Green Man, consummate their union. The May Queen and King are symbols of the Sacred Marriage (or Hieros Gamos). For centuries humans have re-enacted the union of Earth and Sky in such rites as the ‘Greenwood Marriage.’
A popular image of Beltane is a celebratory ribbon pole. Which symbolize the divine union of male and female. Often made from birch, the pole represents the potency of the God while the ring of flowers and ribbons at the top of the maypole represents the receptive fertile Goddess. The colorful ribbons, the traditional weaving, and circular dance symbolizes the spiral of Life and the union of God and Goddess, of Earth and Sky.
Beltane is also a day where the veil between the worlds grows thin. It is said that on Beltane, it is easier to communicate with the faery folk.
For Beltane, light some candles if you can’t make a bonfire to honor the Sun. You can do some divination (card reading, scrying, etc.) Honor the faeries by; leaving out an offering, donating to an animal or nature charity, picking up trash (at a park, beach or mountain trail), or spending time with your pets and houseplants. You can also make a miniature maypole (a wooden stick with ribbons) if there isn’t a maypole you can access.
The maypole dance takes part on May 1st for Beltane. This is a form of folk dance of an ancient Germanic pagan ritual. It involves moving in circles under a poll to wrap ribbons around it, symbolizing fertility and the start of spring. Traditionally, the women take the white ribbons with their right sides to the pole, and the men take the red ribbons with their left sides to the pole, representing fertility and the birth canal. Many other colors are used, and sometimes only females take part, The weaving of the symbolic birth canal (some believe that instead of a birth canal, it is a phallic symbol, which is why some dances are preformed by mostly women) begins with music or chanting as everyone moves forward from where they stand, moving alternately over and under each person coming toward them. (Traditionally, the men begin weaving under the upheld ribbon of the first woman they encounter).
🌷What attire should I wear?🌷 People who dance around the maypole typically dress in white so that their ribbons and scarves, that were brightly colored, stood out. The flowers wreaths are symbolic of spring, and they also decided to dance barefoot to connect to the earth better. 🌼How do I use the maypole?🌼 Typically, people go in opposite circles around the maypole, skipping or jogging to the beat of the music or chant. Continue the dance until the maypole is wrapped. There is no right way to wrap a maypole. Tie off your ribbons and let the wreath drop to the ground when you are done. Many wear bells when dancing the May dance. The point is that Beltane is all about joining both female and male energy.
🌸Maypole chant:🌸 We are the flow and we are the ebb We are the weavers, we are the web We are the needle, we are the thread We are the witches, back from the dead Weavers, weavers, We are weaving the web of life. Weave, weave, weave me a rainbow Out of the falling rain. Weave me the hope of a new tomorrow. Fill my cup again Lady, weave Your circle tight With a web of living light Earth and Air and Fire and Water Bind us to you. ✨Have a blessed Beltane!✨
Today (on my location in the early morning hours just before sunrise) on April 6th we celebrate and honor the Pink Full Moon.
The Pink Full Moon causes us to experience heightened and strong emotional feelings and sensitiveness caused by Jupiter standing in opposition to the moon. At the same time Jupiter, in opposition to the moon, is responsible for expansion and growth. The Pink Full Moon also represents healing, growth, potential, rebirth and transformation out of the dark times into the better and warmer spring and upcoming summer times.
The Pink Full Moon standing in the Air sign Libra will keep us in uncertainty and will make decision making more difficult. Thus the Pink Full Moon in Libra motivates us to seek equilibrium in our emotions, find balance, harmony and peace with oneself and within our relationships. This can be achieved through seeking equilibrium in embrace and emotional bond with loved ones. The Full Moon in Libra is all about relationships, strengthening relationships and focusses on love, romance, sex and spending time with loved ones. She furthermore encourages us to open up for new interactions, possibly involving romance. The Air sing Libra is furthermore ruled by Venus, the planet of love and relationships which indeed makes it a powerful time to deepen our bonds with loved ones and explore new ways to connect with others.
It is also a time of reflection and so the Pink Full Moon is also associated a little with death, for example in our bond with deceased loved ones.
The Pink Full Moon also influences finances.
To honor the Pink Full Moon you can wear pink clothing, moon symbols, spend time surrounded by the blossoming wildflower Moss Phlox after which the moon was named, spend time with loved ones, go for a walk in the moonlight, perform a full moon ritual and cast a circle.
Personally I spend the day by wearing pink and then first going into the city with my mother to go for a lunch and buy an outfit for Beltane, which is upcoming at the end of April/beginning of May of course. After that we surprise visited friends who had bought and decorated a new house and drank some tea together. It was kind of funny because the astrology forecast in the timeframe of the Full Pink Moon said "we may feel drawn to healing professions" and the boy was studying for his exams to become a physiotherapist right before I knocked on the door, and he was very happy to see me since it had been a long long time. After this, we visited another friend to help prepare a wedding gift for her daughter and spend some time with her cat as well, which is a holy animal in connection to the moon. In the nighttime we wanted to go for a walk in the moonlight or go to the witches forest at the border either during midnight or early in the morning because the moon would be completely full right before sunrise, but we were so exhausted that we just watched the Pink Full Moon from our window instead and I listened to my devotional playlist while doing so.
This weekend we also have our village fest, which is annually being held around the time of the Pink Full Moon, there some celtic pagan bands will also be performing.
