have been contemplating kunireo. i think reo tried to rebound with kunigami after his fight with nagi (and they lost chigiri) and was immediately humbled by kunigami not even realizing he was being flirted with
maybe ego always wanted a test tube baby with noa and made kunigami into that
Bisexual reo
fight me
do you think chigiri logs onto twitter.com [in the blue lock universe, they killed elon musk before it could be changed to x] and sees people posting images of him with various screaming captions about intense gender envy
if kaisagi shippers exist in canon, there's at least one person making pastel glitter sticker decorated toploaders for their handmade shidou ryuusei photocards
aryu probably watches a lot of chigiri fancams because they're very well made and he likes beautiful things. chigiri has to ask him to stop sending them to him. entire threads have been made about possible reasons why rin has sae blocked. otoya flirts with one girl in his replies and never knows peace from then on. someone has tagged messi in an isagi yoichi velocity edit. lesbians on twitter who don't follow football are like "HIORI YO IS A MAN??? I THOUGHT HE WAS A BEAUTIFUL LESBIAN." and of course anri is called a girlboss by one person and the subject of a multiple page callout post from another
Do you have any kunigami headcanons?
Hey! Thanks for the ask.
I'm one of those people that scours through canon for blorbo details to build on and develop in the fanfiction I write. So I actually don't have a huge amount of standalone headcanons for the individual characters? Beyond things like how they'd act in relationships, what they might do in the future, etc. That said, I have enough Kunigami thoughts to write a couple novels, so here goes. These are just general beliefs that could apply to Kunigami, personal to my interpretation of his character:
- Kunigami is bisexual, but probably not aware of this while in Blue Lock. He finds it hard to differentiate between physical attraction and admiration when it comes to dudes. Chigiri and Barou particularly confuse him for this reason. Classic do I want to be them or be with them dilemma.
- He's generally hopeless with matters of the heart. He's oblivious to peoples' crushes on him, male or female. He's turned a bunch of confessions down on the basis that he's too busy to date (aside from lack of interest). In true sports anime fashion, he has a one-track mind... it's all football under that orange cloud of hair.
- Speaking of, he's considered shaving all his hair off to avoid sweat dripping into his eyes. His sisters talked him out of it—mostly because him being bald horrified them, but they used the excuse that with no hair to soak into, he'd have more sweat dripping onto his face, not less. His elder sister introduced him to the concept of an undercut while in middle school, which he's been rocking ever since.
- If Isagi's team had chosen Reo after winning the 3v3, Kunigami and Chigiri together would have beaten Shidou and Igaguri without issue. Chigiri would have lifted Kunigami's spirits and deflected Shidou's taunts, helping turn things around. They'd steal Shidou despite Kunigami's serious misgivings about playing with him, then sail through to the third selection. Kunigami and Shidou don't get on during this process, but they do develop a begrudging respect. Shidou can't beat Kunigami in a fist fight, and Kunigami will acknowledge that Shidou is a phenomenal player.
The last few speculate about Kunigami having a mental health condition so I've tagged this for that and put the headcanons under a cut in case anyone isn't into reading those sort of takes about a blorbo. Also: post-s2 anime/chp 155+ manga spoilers below in case that's a problem.
Ok, so I wanna see 20 for HioRin and RyuSae, but I’m curious what their reactions are to each other, rather than just the parents.
sure! sorry for the delay, I had guests this weekend so I couldn't squirrel away writing as I usually do. Ask game here, willing to answer for ships for a few more days if anyone's got questions they'd like answered.
20. What do their family/friends HioRin think of their relationship RyuSae?
Sae tells Rin one day, without preamble. Just I'm dating Ryuusei, like he's telling the time. Rin's shoulders bunch and a hundred responses run through his mind, each of them more lukewarm than the last. He settles on OK, returning his attention to the slasher film he'd been watching. Sae lingers for a moment, before slipping away silently.
When he's gone, Rin sinks his head into his hand and barks out a groan. Does his shitty brother do everything in his power to piss him off?
He tells Hiori about it online, when they play games later that night, failing to keep the venom from his voice. Hiori hums softly as Rin tails off, keyboard and mouse clacking as he takes out the zombies that were about to swarm Rin on-screen.
Would Sae have told ya if he didn't care? Hiori eventually asks, after carrying both of them to first place; Rin's too preoccupied to contribute to their rank. I don't understand why he picked Shidou-kun of all people—and I don't know him like you do—but if it wasn't a big deal to him, I don't think he'd have said anythin' at all.
Rin grunts and changes the subject, and Hiori indulges him, cheerful in spite of his sullen mood.
But the next morning, when Sae leaves his bedroom, Rin is waiting for him in the hallway. Warn me if you're inviting him over, he says over crossed arms. And don't expect me to talk to him.
Sae simply nods and pushes past him to the bathroom. The tension in Rin's shoulders ease a little. Life goes on.
20. What do RyuSae think of HioRin?
Sae's not really sure when Hiori stopped being a friend I play with online and started being the guy I sneak into my room while everyone's out of the house. He catches them one morning, brushing their teeth in the bathroom. Hiori smiles and waves, cheeks a dainty pink. Rin's face turns scarlet.
Rin refuses to address the situation, but he stops sneaking around. Hiori comes over frequently—his parents are lukewarm, Rin explains when Sae asks. Rin hasn't been calling him a shitty brother as much lately. Only once, after Sae asks to make sure the two of them are being responsible, prompting Rin to call him a hypocrite after what he's been forced to overhear when Shidou stays over. Sae concedes his brother has a point. After that, he buys spare condoms and mouldable earplugs to leave in their shared bathroom.
Shidou is pleasantly surprised at Rin's character development. When he congratulates Rin on becoming less lukewarm himself, he narrowly dodges the resulting punch. But they turn a corner eventually. When he notices Rin's nervousness before one of he and Hiori's first public dates, Shidou sits down with him and offers some advice. None of it is received well, but Rin's less uptight by the time the doorbell rings.
Shidou's the driver between the four of them hanging out together. Hiori's reasonably easy to win over, and Sae quietly values Shidou making an effort with his brother. They'll pull up party games on an old console—Hiori usually wins, so the competition's really for second place. Shidou also enjoys making food for all four of them. The one and only time Rin willingly compliments Shidou is on his cookery.
---
Overall, I think Hiori would give Shidou the benefit of the doubt, when it's clear the animosity between Shidou and Rin has eased. Both good-natured, they'd eventually bond and enjoy teaming up to tease their Itoshis. Rin wouldn't warm to Shidou exactly, but he'd eventually find himself missing the buzz Shidou creates when he's around. Shidou borderline flirts with Rin and does his best to win him over, undeterred by his glares. In time, Rin would ask Shidou about the things he doesn't want to talk to Sae about. They still clash, but become brotherly in a different way to Rin and Sae.
I love your writing! Could I get #20 for kainess, tabiori, and nanarin?
Thank you anon ❤️ here ya go!
20. What do their family/friends think of their relationship?
Kaiser is no contact with his father, and Ness is lowish contact with his family. When they first met, Kaiser was all Ness would talk about in his weekly scheduled phonecalls, causing his mother to speculate about her son's attachment patterns. His family are unphased about Kaiser overall, but still think Ness will eventually turn away from football (and therefore leave Kaiser's side).
People tend to give Kaiser and Ness a wide berth outside of games, so they have few actual friends. Gesner, on hearing they’re actually a thing, would congratulate them for becoming each other’s dick cheeses. 💀 Isagi would tell Kaiser that he doesn’t deserve Ness (which Kaiser will secretly agree with). Lorenzo would value their relationship in the hundreds of millions and offer his congratulations.
I touched on this while answering 19. for Tabiori here, but to elaborate: eventually Hiori’s parents will come round to accepting that Hiori can be successful while maintaining a relationship. They’ll ask tentative questions about Karasu on their calls, whenever Hiori gives into guilt and answers them. After his mom and dad get divorced, he’ll properly introduce Karasu to each of them. Karasu actually gets on surprisingly well with his dad, as they have compatible senses of humour. Hiori’s mom is a bit disappointed, having dreamed of Hiori someday having superstar athlete grandkids with Japan’s #1 tennis player. But she’s seeing a therapist and her and Hiori’s relationship slowly improves.
Their shared friends initially worry that too-nice Hiori is going to be whittled down by Karasu’s cutting remarks, until they witness him clapping back at Karasu and shutting him up. Otoya thinks it’s hilarious and high fives Hiori whenever he lands a zinger. They become the “married” pair of their friend group: the low-drama, long-term couple who are seen as inseperable.
Nanase’s family are just as nice as him, and live in the rural countryside. As earnest as their son, they’ll admit to Rin when they meet him that they were initially shocked when Nanase told them he had a boyfriend, but what’s the issue if their boy is happy and loved? They do prepare a seperate room for Rin to sleep in everytime he stays over… but Nanase’s mom will uncharacteristically leave a nightlight on in the hall, making it easy for Rin to sneak into Nanase’s room.
Rin’s parents love Nanase. To the point Rin gets a bit insecure and wonders if they might like Nanase more than they like him. Of course not, but Nanase is so friendly and easy to talk to that it puts the reserved Itoshi parents at ease. They’re hopeful he’ll be a positive influence on Rin. He ends up in the family group chat and replies to it more than Rin or Sae does.
People hesitantly check in on Nanase after the news spreads about he and Rin dating, including Isagi and Hiori. Once they confirm there’s no actual coercive control going on, everyone teases Rin mercilessly for falling for someone so different to himself. They’re nicknamed Grumpy / Sunshine, and Shidou is the president of their fanclub.
3, 6 and 7 for kaisagi if you’re still doing those🙏🏻🙏🏻
Sure! I vibe most with an enemies to lovers take on Kaisagi, so my answers are shaped by that.
3. Most common argument?
Isagi telling Kaiser to stop making everything about himself and Kaiser taking that personally.
While not a common argument exactly, I also think they'd fight a lot because of Isagi not fully understanding the scars Kaiser's childhood left on him. Due to Isagi's own upbringing, he can't accept that Kaiser feels nothing but hatred towards the man that 'raised' him. This causes a lot of friction.
6. What is their favorite feature of their partner’s?
Neither of them are particularly willing to answer this question, even after they become serious about one another. But Isagi is drawn to Kaiser's razor sharp mind and his thirst for knowledge. He might find how Kaiser exploits that knowledge abhorrent, but it's a base trait that appeals to sapiosexual Isagi. He secretly wishes Kaiser would wear glasses more often.
Kaiser would say Isagi's cruel streak, but in truth he's enthralled by his kindness. It differs from how Ness treats Kaiser, in that Isagi's goodwill is earned—Isagi only starts being nice to Kaiser after they've started to understand one another better and Kaiser stops being as toxic. Kaiser experiences a sense of heart-pounding doom the first time Isagi flashes him a genuine smile. It was game over for him from that moment.
7. What’s the first thing that changes when they realize they have feelings for the other?
Kaiser re-reads all his psychology textbooks to see if he can identify what strange disorder he's acquired, instead of confronting the obvious. Isagi will complain to anyone who'll listen about how much of an unlikeable handsome bastard Kaiser is. They continue to hook up, but it's no longer just to blow off steam—suddenly it's about spending time with the other person, and that horrifies them both.
They get more and more frustrated with each other during games, but Isagi can't bring himself to hurl vitriol at Kaiser like he once did. Kaiser starts daydreaming about how a softer Isagi might talk to him, and the kind of person he'd be towards Isagi if that was the case.
Eventually, their teammates lock them together in a supply closet with an order to work things out already—by talking for once. (Hiori's the genius behind this idea.) It does the trick, and Kaisagi end up happier for it... but neither of them are allowed forget about their antics for as long as they're on the team together.
If you’re still doing the questions, could you do 17, 20 and 29 for best babies NagiReo?
Here you go anon!
17. Who says I love you first?
There's a smorgasbord of different takes on Nagireo, but my personal favourite has Nagi saying I love you first. Because Nagi vocalising his feelings for Reo so directly implies him making an effort to evolve and grow for Reo. It implies that Reo, who pushed Nagi into football and into Blue Lock, into an exciting life, has one line he's unwilling to cross when it comes to Nagi—and it's this. This version of Reo fears admitting his love to an indifferent Nagi that'll just go along with a relationship because it'd be more effort to reject Reo. So he locks away his feelings under perfectly practised smiles, despite Nagi's obvious hints that the feeling's mutual. In this take on their ship, I cheer when Nagi steps up to be the one taking the initiative.
20. What do their family/friends think of their relationship?
Based off how I headcanon the Mikage parents, I think Reo's father would take him aside after Reo makes things official with Nagi and tell him bluntly that he doesn't care what Reo does privately—so long as in public, he remains the eligible, straight heir to the Mikage Corporation. His mother doesn't contradict this, and insinuates that this is just a youthful fling that'll burn out in time.
Reo expected as much but it leaves him bitter. He'd concoct a scheme to come out as publically as possible to spite them. Ba-ya happily assists in its execution, while subtlely revealing to Nagi that she's incredibly proficient in all forms of combat and weapon handling... and that it'd be a shame if she needed to intervene should anyone attempt to break Reo's heart.
Nagi texts his parents to say he's found love. They send him a thumbs up reaction.
When their relationship is made public, a journalist asks the other Blue Lock alumni what they think about Nagireo falling in love. Isagi chuckles awkwardly and says it's not really a surprise. Chigiri quips that he expects compensation for being forced to third-wheel since the Neo Egoist League. (Everyone's supportive obviously.)
29. one headcanon about this OTP that breaks your heart
The fact that they're each others' firsts, in all the ways that matter. One or both of them will eventually wonder whether they're truly each other's best match, or whether their partner might have met someone they're more compatible with had they not been so wrapped up in one another since high school.
Please can you do 1, 5, and 17 for kunigiri?
hey zal! absolutely! I can blab (and have been blabbing) about these two for days.
1. Who is the most affectionate?
Ooh, tricky! I write them both to be touchy-feely. I think Kunigami is prone to providing physical assurance, despite being reserved in public. He likes placing a hand on the small of Chigiri's back while out and about, or squeezing his shoulder—small things to remind Chigiri he's at his side. Nothing overtly couply, but the signs are there if anyone's watching for them. Kunigami's also quite protective of Chigiri in places like nightclubs or crowded trains, without being overbearing.
Chigiri's a snuggler, and enjoys curling up on his boyfriend's lap when it's just the two of them. He'll trace idle circles on Kunigami's arms or chest without realising as they're watching TV. They'll both give each other glancing kisses on the head/cheek. Chigiri is often the one to initiate hugs, but indirectly: he'll pout at Kunigami without saying anything until Kunigami notices. After a while, Kunigami doesn't even ask him what's the matter; he just holds out his arms for Chigiri to walk into.
5. Who is most likely to carry the other? & 17. Who says I love you first?
I've actually answered these two here and here. So if it's OK with you, I'll answer two other questions that I haven't gotten for Kunigiri yet.
4. Favourite non-sexual activity
During their careers or afterwards, they're both into exercising and taking care of their bodies. I like to imagine the two of them taking up pilates together. Chigiri talks Kunigami into it, who can see the value in adding more core-strengthening to his training menu. They help each other warm up and stretch out before and after.
Aside from that, both of them would enjoy watching the trashiest possible reality shows they can find, particularly the ones Chigiri discovers after moving to England. Love Island is an absolute revelation for him, and he forces Kunigami to sit through every new season. Kunigami always protests about how much of a time sink it is, but ends up more invested than Chigiri. They also argue over which one of them would be a better contestant in the GBBO. Chigiri insists that Kunigami doesn't even like cakes, but Kunigami's defence is that, since Chigiri guilts him into baking for him often enough, he'd be better equipped to do well.
21. Who is most likely to start dancing with the other?
Unless there's alcohol involved, these two are too reserved to dance together in public. But on their rare days off, in the haven of their shared apartment, sometimes Chigiri will start dancing and singing along to an anime opening while he does chores. Kunigami will glance up from whatever he's doing to enjoy the view, and Chigiri will usually convince him into bopping along. For rockier songs, Kunigami will break out the air guitars. Chigiri's a surprisingly accomplished headbanger.
If you're still taking the otp questions, could I request 6, 7, 19 and 29 for tabiori? Thank you!
Hey anon! I've really softened towards these two with the new Karasu lore that EpiNagi gifted us. Childhood friends to imprisoned football rivals to lovers, let's gooooo
6. What is their favorite feature of their partner’s?
Hiori likes that Karasu has an opinion on everything. Sometimes it takes coaxing to get him to take a stance, if he doesn't feel like he's had enough input data or time to mull it over, but Karasu is no fence sitter: he's always clear about his values and what he thinks, which Hiori admires as a perpetual people pleaser. Hiori also loves his searching dark eyes.
Karasu finds Hiori physically attractive, but it's that sadistic edge to his bf's personality that has Karasu down bad. He likes someone with bite, who won't take his snark without retaliation. But Hiori's genuine kindness also allows Karasu to unwind in his presence. It's exhausting putting on a mask every day, and Hiori is the only person Karasu trusts to see the real him. Without his usual defences.
7. What’s the first thing that changes when they realize they have feelings for the other?
In comparison to what I've said for Karasu before, I don't think he'd get more defensive after realising he has feelings for Hiori. Their friendship started on the basis of mutual admiration, and Karasu's crush is an evolution of that. That said, he has no plans to admit to his feelings, ever.
Hiori feels lame about his own crush, thinking he's naïve for crushing on his senpai. He'd still happily chat and hang out with Karasu, but becomes more prone to awkward silence around him. After getting dating advice off his internet friends, he'll watch Karasu for signs that he's interested in being more than friends. Hiori would eventually make a move, and the rest is history.
19. Who tells their family/friends about their relationship first?
Oof, I'll start with the less sad family dynamic. Karasu cultivates an air of mystery around himself. No one knows for sure when he's bullshitting or being serious, even his mom. When he signs off a phonecall by saying, got a hot boy waitin' fer me, she writes it off as her son's sarcasm. It keeps being his excuse though, and eventually she realises he's serious. She's surprised that Karasu's dating the quiet polite boy from his football team, but supportive of he and Hiori.
Hiori's parents are in frequent contact with him, but only ever ask about his training, diet and sleep—not to mention his performance in whatever league he's playing in. They find out he's in a relationship when he lets it slip in an interview. They scold him for not focussing 100% on his career. He starts ignoring their calls.
Yukimiya and Otoya manage to suss out Karasu's feelings before he and Hiori get together, and tease him for it until the good news breaks. The four hang out together often. Hiori doesn't publicise the relationship, but talks to his closer friends and teammates about Karasu, like Isagi, Nanase and Kurona.
The two of them quickly get fed up of people insinuating that they're a cute couple just because they're both from Kansai.
29. One headcanon about this OTP that breaks your heart
Both of them look up to one another, but it's partly as a means of quantifying their own inadequacies. Karasu will never be as athletically gifted as Hiori. Hiori will never have Karasu's unfazed attitude or the same determination to pursue his dreams.
Neither of them will fully understand the level of emptiness the other used to hide behind the polite smiles or sarcastic remarks.
4,7,20 and 22 for ryuusae :) especially curious about the family one for reasons (sae and rin)
a ship I adore but don't write much for! I read Ryusae fics pretty often, so it's fun to do some of my own thinking about them. Thanks anon!
4. Favorite non-sexual activity?
Shopping! These two have unique senses of style, and while Sae would probably prefer to get all his clothes online, he'll indulge Shidou and join him at a shopping centre for a date. Shidou enjoys modelling new outfits for his boyfriend's approval, and is more than happy testing out new skincare products with Sae. No comment on what they get up to in the changing rooms
I think they'd also enjoy self-care hang-outs—getting manicures or going to the spa together.
7. What’s the first thing that changes when they realize they have feelings for the other?
For Shidou, literally nothing. There isn't a thought in his head that he doesn't vocalise. He tells Sae immediately.
If Sae falls first, similar to Rin he has a crisis about whatever's happening to him: what the hell is the lukewarm feeling in his chest whenever he sees Shidou? Blech! It wouldn't influence his interactions with Shidou that much, but the eye rolling and protests against Shidou's antics became half-hearted.
When they get together, Sae would hesitate to put any kind of label on their relationship, but would privately admit to Shidou that he makes him happy.
20. What do their family/friends think of their relationship?
The answer to this greatly depends on when Sae and Shidou get together. If it's right after the U20 match, then Sae's relationship with Rin will tank even further. Like, Shidou only just kicked Rin in the face... and Rin still resents Sae for picking Shidou over Rin to play alongside Sae against the Blue Lock 11. If they're older when Sae and Shidou become an item, Rin still won't be overjoyed—but he's less likely to actively daydream about shanking the pair of them.
Sae's parents have no clue what to make of Shidou, but they do their best to be supportive. If Sae's happy, then they'll try to accept Shidou. Although, his mom might privately complain to her husband about Sae dating the one guy that kicked the shit out of Rin 🫠
We know nothing about Shidou's family, but my sense is that nothing surprises them any more. They might appreciate Sae since he demonstrates a calming effect on Shidou... if they still have a good relationship with Shidou themselves.
No one from Blue Lock is surprised that Shidou has the hots for Sae, but the news that Sae reciprocates his feelings is a bombshell. It's hot gossip, but no one's brave enough to admit to Sae or Shidou's face that their relationship is a surprise.
22. Who cooks more/who is better at cooking?
I love domestic AU fics where Shidou can cook well and makes nutritious food for Sae 🩷 For that reason alone, I want to say Shidou for this. I don't think he's a exceptional chef or anything, but he puts more effort into learning techniques than the average adolescent. He's also really thrifty with ingredients and tries to minimise food waste.
Sae's a combini-fuelled kid like Rin IMO. He probably gets meals prepared for him at Réal, so he's only really capable of cup ramen levels of cookery. So the fact Shidou cooks is a big point in his favour when he and Sae get together.
Could you do 14, 24 and 25 for Kunigiri and Bachisagi? <33
yesss, back to my favourite pairings! Let's do this. I'll keep my answers T-rated, but heads up for some descriptive headcanons! 👀 I know reading about kissing can be a squick for some folks.
14. Who kisses the hardest?
Kunigami is gentle when he first gets together with Chigiri. He's a gentleman and also conscious of his overbearing strength. He would let Chigiri set the pace the first time they kiss and take cues from him. As for Chigiri, when he decides that he wants something, he goes all in—kissing is no exception. Chigiri resents being treated as fragile, so he'd order Kunigami not to hold back. He wants more pressure, more tongue, more heat... and Kunigami will provide his princess with whatever he asks for 👑
Bachira is the harder kisser out of him and Isagi. He's somebody who acts on instinct and I can see him kissing without restraint. It's open mouthed and with tongue from the get go. He's a biter too—bees sting after all! Isagi's more of a soft, sensual kisser. He might not go as hard as Bachira, but he'll actively be thinking about how and where to kiss his boyfriend for maximum satisfaction 💛💚
24. Who whispers inappropriate things in the other’s ear during inappropriate times?
Chigiri will publicly flirt with Kunigami to fluster him, enjoying watching him blush, so I think he wins in terms of inappropriate timing. But I actually think Kunigami is the one who'd say the naughtiest things after they've been together a while. Kunigami's far too upstanding to distract Chigiri with dirty talk when there's a chance of it being overhead. But he still enjoys watching Chigiri turning as red as his hair in low-stakes situations.
Bachira wins this one too, except he never whispers his innuendos. It's usually audible. Bachira and Isagi's private life is public knowledge among their friends!
25. Who needs more assurance?
Chigiri is prone to mood swings and anxiety spirals. Kunigami is patient whenever this happens, and know when to intervene with a pep talk versus when to let Chigiri work things out himself.
I went back and forth on how to answer this for Bachisagi. Ultimately, Isagi has greater doubts in himself, despite generally having good self-esteem and a drive to improve himself. Bachira has his lulls, but isn't the type to sit around dwelling on the negative. So I think Bachira would reassure Isagi more often than vice versa. Isagi simply being with Bachira is the validation Bachira needs.
gonna go on and ask for no. 7, 19 & 28 for karasu/chigiri 😺! - @suosage
hey! 👋 sure, I'll cook a few HCs up. I haven't written anything for this ship before but I have read fics where they're paired together.
7. What’s the first thing that changes when they realize they have feelings for the other?
Karasu likes teasing Chigiri, pointing out his beauty and princess-y traits. The minute he starts catching actual feels though, he's cutting back on the jabs. Chigiri'll wonder why Karasu's suddenly being so nice to him!
Chigiri is quite a tease himself, but he'd also be cagier about flirting with Karasu when he realises he's developed a genuine crush. Once it's mutual, the two of them might actually avoid one another until someone good-natured intervenes and gets them to confess (in my head, that's Yukimiya or Reo).
19. Who tells their family/friends about their relationship first?
Similar answer to what I gave for Kunigiri: I think Chigiri's friends and family would figure out he has a boyfriend from context clues or social media, then worm the truth out of him. He's not ashamed of dating Karasu or anything, just reserved and private.
Karasu wouldn't tell anyone outright. He'd just bring Chigiri along to enough dinners or outings that eventually, his friends and family conclude that they're a couple. Except maybe Otoya. Karasu would probably inform him, so Otoya knows not to try it on with Chigiri 😛
28. What do they do when they’re away from each other?
These two are both moody introverts. When they're apart, there's lots of pining, and sappy text messages that they type out but are too embarrassed to send. They would keep in touch via text all the same. I also think Karasu would make an effort to bring Chigiri a little gift home whenever he returns from travelling. cos he's a good crow bf 💙🐦⬛
2, 6, 13 for nagireo and bachisagi??🫶🏻🫶🏻 i just discovered your blog and i’m here to stay!!!
hey anon! Welcome ❤️ and sure, I was just thinking I was surprised no NagiReo requests came in.
2. Big spoon/Little spoon?
To me, Nagi is the little spoon. Reo has that cuddler energy—I can see him wrapping himself around Nagi at night. It also means that, while Reo spoons him, Nagi's hands are free to play games on the nights he can't sleep.
Bachira and Isagi would alternate as big spoon/little spoon. But Bachira has a habit of falling asleep lying on Isagi's chest 💛
6. What is their favorite feature of their partner’s?
Nagi has something Reo doesn't: inherent talent. Reo is extremely skilled and a quick learner, but for him everything is learned. Nagi just aces things instinctively, and Reo admires him for that. Additionally, I think he secretly likes getting to take care of Nagi too. He never had the opportunity to do so with other people growing up.
For Nagi, Reo is his first friend, and more importantly the first person who ever bothered to get to know the guy hiding behind a messy fringe and the glow of a phone screen. He admires Reo's endless drive and optimism, even if it's sometimes a bother to go along with Reo's schemes.
Bachira's very similar: Isagi was the first person he met with that flicker of darkness inside him. The fact that Isagi never calls him weird for having a monster and is always kind to him means the world to Bachira. He most loves that unhinged side of Isagi, the one with a manic grin that calls to Bachira's own sense of mayhem.
Isagi loves how Bachira sees the world differently to him, showing him new perspectives that enhance how Isagi sees the world. I think he finds Bachira overwhelming cute too.
13. Who reaches for the other’s hand first?
Reo will grab Nagi's hand most of the time. Nagi is more of a sleeve-puller, or just full-on slumps on top of Reo when he wants attention.
Bachira's the first to grab Isagi's hand when they start dating, but as they get closer, I think Isagi would instigate hand holding too. He's a bit shyer than Bachira about PDA but enjoys the feeling of holding his boyfriend's hand.
4, 7, 19 and 20 with baroaryu!

heeey, certainly! It's been a while since I thought about these two
4. Favorite non-sexual activity?
Cleaning. I'm only half joking. I can picture Aryu enjoying the glam of having a tidy space, so he's more than happy to join Barou in his frequent housework blitzes.
Aside from that, I think Barou would let Aryu tag along to bowling once they get comfortable with each other.
7. What’s the first thing that changes when they realize they have feelings for the other?
Aryu just gets moonier, and even more image-conscious. He can't lose out to Barou in the glam stakes! When he starts waxing lyrical about how stylish his new crush is, the other Blue Lockers beg him to go confess already.
Barou keeps up his tsundere shtick long after acknowledging his feelings. But as an acts of service kind of guy, he'd start acting a lot less grouchy towards Aryu and doing nice things for him. He clams up when their friends point out that's boyfriend behaviour.
19. Who tells their family/friends about their relationship first? & 20. What do their family/friends think of their relationship?
Before they got together, Aryu would talk at length about a beautiful man with raven hair and ruby eyes in calls with his parents. His mother immediately asks what Barou's star sign is so she can whip together a compatibility chart. His dad is chill so long as Aryu's happy (as he clearly is).
Barou's really cagey about telling his family, and only does so after Aryu tearfully accuses him of being embarrassed by him. He's not—he's just been raised to be a man's man and he knows what to expect from his father.
Daddy Barou doesn't approve at first, but when the Barou women hear about this, he falls target to their fury. You think Barou inherited his scariness from his dad? Nah. Grandma Barou schedules a half-hour meeting with her busy son. Afterwards, Barou receives a sheepish apology call from his dad wishing he and Aryu all the best. Family gatherings are a little awkward after that, but Barou's sisters' adoooore Aryu.
Them getting together is a surprise for their friends and they're flummoxed about how two such extravagant partnerships can coexist. Still, Isagi remarks that Barou doesn't threaten him as much now Aryu's agreed to go out with him.
