lucy leaving the agency at the end of THB is so so so important for her character growth. it's actually crazy to see how much she's grown mentally and became more independent in TCS. she stopped playing the victim in any argument she is in. she became much more patient and understanding towards people because she had to deal with all kinds of agents and supervisors during her freelance work, and also stopped blindly following lockwood's orders and acquired leadership skills of her own. before tcs it seemed like she had problem with everyone, except maybe lockwood - george, kipps, holly, kat, barnes etc. it surprised me how she managed to obtain such good relationship with almost anyone she met in tcs, after three books of straight up hating every person she saw. moreover, you could say that she actually becomes one of the chillest people in the agency.
she finally gets a mind of her own and is able to stand up for herself and her friends when needed.
ghost hunting tour is ruined guys 😭 [inspo]
are we sure the only way out is through? like. are we sure we can't just. go around

GHOSTLINES BY KATYA BALEN
I wanna watch a three hour deep dive video of the lockwood and co series with all sorts of theories metaphors symbolism and interpretations
I feel like I've written entire essays in the chaos chat but videos are beyond me 😂
I'd watch hours of videos of Qiqi meta
Maybe we could turn some of our better chaos discussions into a script and do a recreation :D
@menina89 @sciroccoorion35 do not encourage me 😂😂
Though like. It'd be fun. But how does one make videos anyway
They encouraged me and it's officially your fault
We couldn’t figure out videos. But it turns out a podcast only takes a microphone…
Ohohohooo
Please let me know where I can listen to it!
soooo we've got a few episodes recorded and are doing editing, logo etc. (it turns out there's a lot more involved than just planning eps and chatting into a microphone)
The little colour-coded spreadsheet claims that the intro should be released on the 4th Dec and Episode 1 (Lucy) will be out on the 11th! We're planning to release three eps in December and then slow it down a bit to 2/3 eps a month.
We're publishing on Spotify but I think that means we can cross-publish on all the big platforms with a single click - we'll find out soon. Once we have a few more bits and bobs together we'll start posting actual announcements and stuff. It's kind of exciting!
(Also I have to say thank you? Because if you'd never demanded 4 hour video essays we would've never thought 'huh, maybe we could do a podcast with all that meta we throw around...' and researching, planning and recording these episodes has turned out to be really fun.)
Truly having a blast working on this podcast project with @hailqiqi @sciroccoorion35 & @womaninwinter!!! More details coming soooooon 💙
Holly: here are two pictures. One of them is your bedroom, and the other is a garbage dumpster. Can you tell which is which?
George:
George: this one is the dumpster.
Holly: they're both your bedroom.
I read scarlett and browne like.. two months ago and screenshot my favourite bits like I did with Lockwood & Co
I will post them... maybe... sometime soon..
This place is all I have left of my parents. Let Go of Me, Lockwood & Co.
Lockwood after any minor inconvenience
Portland Row is cozy in every universe (work in progress!!)
Guys I think we’ve all been tricked by our subconsciousnesses into thinking that just because Holly wears smart blouses and nice dresses, she’s also a super cutesy girly girl. Like, not that she isn’t, but the two don’t have to necessarily go together?
Sorry I’ve just been on the alt fanart/we’ve all been conditioned by the show’s colour scheme thought train recently
After the Bone Glass, there’s a period of time where they take down all the mirrors in the house and shove them in the room on the landing. Mirrors like the ones on the bathroom cabinet doors that can’t be removed instead get photographs stuck all over them. The three of them together. Lucy holding Skull aloft with great effort on her face (he’s heavy!). Lockwood caught unawares, bleary-eyed and making tea without realising he has a MASSIVE cowlick. George peacefully asleep on the sofa, comic in hand. Lucy and George doing rapier training together.
As they come home from an Archives trip one day, George huffs that he’s fed up of the hall mirror being missing because he uses it to recon who is in the front room when he gets home so he knows to avoid the annoying visitors. Without even taking his shoes off, he marches up to fetch it and hangs it back on the wall. Actually, it’s a team effort and a bit of swearing trying to line up the little hook with the nail on the wall. When it’s finally done, Lucy and Lockwood both smile to themselves and follow him into the kitchen to make tea. Business as usual.
When the rest of the mirrors eventually make their way back onto the walls, they all get the photo treatment too.
quill kipps is SUCH a mum friend… like ok sometimes it’s begrudgingly and with much eye-rolling but when it gets down to the nitty gritty he’s the one bending down (not very far) to look kids in the eye and tell them it’s going to be alright
