Mobile users for labeling Mature Content (you may have to update the app)

Settings > general settings > Content you See > scroll down to the bottom

From what I can tell, the filtering is default turned off, so you turn on whatever subject you don’t want to see.

Actually it’s the other way around (because tumblr can’t do anything without being confusing). The Labels are Hide, Blur, and Show. They are defaulted to Hide, so if you want to see mature content, you have to manually set the label to Show.

And if you are under 18, you cannot change the setting until you are 18.

So happy that I finally let the tumblr app update so that now every time I copy a post url I have to edit it to remove the wonderful new “at.” following the https://, or it just tells people to download the app instead of showing the post. Why would you do this

Great, now the links break if you do it, so you either get a message to sign in, or one claiming there’s nothing there

It looks like there’s two things to delete to make a working, non-tracking link. There’s the “at.” yes, but then there’s also a string of letters and numbers at the end of the link that seem to be related to tracking which need to be removed, too.

So, if a post would be “at.tumblr.com/User/PostNumber/TrackingID” then to have it as just a regular link, you’d remove the beginning and end so that it’s “tumblr.com/User/PostNumber” instead. At least, that’s what a couple quick experiments seemed to indicate.

conditions under which i encountered this message: i answered an ask on mobile, then reblogged it on mobile and added two images (from my phone gallery) to the body of the reblog. went back on desktop because i wanted to add it to my #pop tag, which is where popular posts go. link to post (screwed up on my desktop theme sorry)

tested it and got the same problem. this is bullshit, how the hell does this even become an issue

alright so PSA apparently now if you make a post on the tumblr app you can only edit it from the tumblr app.

basically, stop using the tumblr app if you ever want to edit your posts, ever! do you like to edit things? update them? want to correct facts you posted at a later time? want to correct a typo without deleting the post? does typing on a tiny screen hurt, so you would rather edit on desktop later? add tags? delete tags? all of these and more are now not possible on desktop if you make the initial post on the tumblr app for who knows why.

this extremely sucks as someone who is not always able to sit in front of a computer for health reasons, as most of my posts are initially made on mobile and then edited later on desktop. cool thanks! great

I just tried this on a fucking DRAFT and you can’t even edit that what the actual fuck

EDIT: after further testing (and evidenced by my reblog), literally all posts are uneditable regardless of where I posted them from. This includes my queue and drafts as well @staff

PSA FOR TUMBLR RPers:

If you regularly draft your replies from mobile to edit later (like some of us do), you now can’t edit the post later on desktop without going back to the source and drafting again.

If I could get a working mobile app that would be great @staff

PSA: My dash was getting spammed with posts from people I don’t even follow. Seems mobile has yet another “feature” that literally nobody asked for. You can turn it off in Dashboard Preferences.
