《GIFTOBER 2024》 DAY 28 ▪︎ MESS
@giftober 2024 • DAY 15: Reference
The Duel, as inspired by Revenge of the Sith
@giftober 2023 | DAY 20: JOY Congratulation to "I Am Your Mother" for winning Best Animation at the Venice TV Awards!
@giftober 2023 | DAY #17: MIRRORS
All those years helping the Rebellion. And for what? Oh, come on, Loi'e. What we do here will change the tides for the whole galaxy. I'm not a stargazer, Jon. I just want to move on. Hang in there, little dancer. Soon, we'll all be free.
@giftober 2023 | DAY #7: WATER
↳ There is a clash between two figures. There is a third shape as well, but I can't read it.
-
The third image, it was me.
@giftober 2023 | Day #5: Friendship
Daal, you've always wanted something more. And if you ever get the chance to find out what that is, take it. Don't look back.
She promised me another life.
@giftober2023| Day #2: Coffee/Tea
Lola & E2 in VISIONS 2: Sith
↳ The eclipse is today. Maybe it will inspire me to finish the painting.
IMPERIAL STAR DESTROYERS as depicted in STAR WARS: VISIONS 1.03 The Twins | 1.06 T0-B1 | 1.08 Lop and Ochō
STAR WARS VISIONS EP 9: AKAKIRI
This was basically Anakin's story had Padmé lived and not been pregnant.
》 A princess and a Jedi fall in love. The princess's home is invaded, and together, they must try to reclaim her home. The Jedi is having visions of death that are actually being manipulated by a darksider that wants that specific Jedi to be their right hand. Said Jedi pledges themself to the darkside in the end. It's the prequel trilogy au told in 15 minutes.
I'm sad this one did not live up to my expectations because it had the most unique animation style and had the best poster imo
Anyway, I feel like I've seen those chicken-horses before?? I think they were in the "The Deserter" episode of The Clone Wars.
Lop in Star Wars Visions: Lop and Ochō
Star Wars: Visions | 1.08: Lop and Ochō
STAR WARS VISIONS EP 8: LOP & OCHŌ
Greed will alway lead to ruin. You wanted your planet to become more technologically advanced while making bank from it by collaborating with the Empire, yet are shocked that the result of such industrialization is the destruction and depletion of natural resources? 🙄🤦♀️
If this short were to be fleshed out more as a full anime, it would bring intrigue to the rivalry between the sisters. However, I cannot see it bringing anything new to Star Wars or Shonen anime. I feel like I've read fanfiction with better setups than this short.
This situation that leads to the divide of the main family the short follows is seen in many other Star Wars stories. It reminded me of Lothal from SW REBELS, Raada from AHSOKA, and Jelucan from Lost Stars. Having seen this tale told many times, this short had little interest to me.
Also, despite having an open mind when it comes to aliens in Star Wars, I cannot get behind miss bunny girl senpai. I can't. The furries have ruined humanoid bunnies.
STAR WARS: VISIONS ☆ 1.07 THE ELDER
Star Wars: Visions episode 6, TO-B1
I am one with the force, the force is with me
STAR WARS VISIONS EP 7: THE ELDER
Do not forget your training and your kindness.
Padawan Dan kinda annoyed me at first. I think it's because there was nothing for me to connect to these characters with. Dan was just a generic humanoid male padawan. There was no depth.
The moment I saw The Elder whip out his duel sabers, I knew Dan had absolutely no chance against him. And for a moment, I really thought he had died. However, his toss of his powered lightsaber was sick. And because he survives, we are able to see his character develope a bit more in the end.
Side note: You'd think that, as a prequels enthusiast, I would favor an episode paying homage to The Phantom Menace, especially as an Obi-Wan bias. However, this short really didn't do anything for me. I wasn't feeling it. It was bland.
