Hello Tumblr community! 🌟

I'm new here on Tumblr; I don't know if I'm doing this right.. but my name is Melissa and I am trying to build awareness for my zombie themed web comic!

I've been working on this project for about a year now and finally feel like I'm ready to share with everyone!

For now, unfortunately I have to be a bit vague until the official announcement of the project - however my team and I have agreed that we need to show at least a sneak peek and so here we have the first ever visual reveal from the web comic!

First is a concept art for one of the special mushrooms!

Also, I am excited to reveal the initial design of one of the main characters from the first season; Leonard!

I hope you enjoy these preview illustrations!But please note that we are actively finalizing character and environment designs for the official release!

I LOVE this for lots and lots of reasons.

So I'll just keep it short and simple, I love the fact that we have a Night and Day situation going on here. And I like the fact that there are two sides to every coin here. Kind of like the Superman Statue scene from Batman x Superman where the guy spray paints "FALSE GOD" on the statue.

Also the fact that there are some people who appreciated Ruby's "message" but also we have to think about the other side. Basically the Atlesians and Mantleans who lost their home due to Ruby's message. The fact that she is called the Red Devil makes it all the more interesting as well.

LOVE the inclusion of that as well as it reminds me of how Zeon calls the Gundam the White Devil since canonically facing off against a Gundam means dancing or fighting with the Devil. Once again great job and I love this.

Ahhh, thank you so much! Some fans in the rwby fandom are very resistant to the idea of not everyone in Remnant revering Team Rwby as the virtuous heroes crwby tries to make them out to be (even if the plot literally has to warp in itself to make Ruby/Team rwby in the right every single time).

Sure, Ruby is just a kid who was thrust into an end of the world scenario that could be life or death. And because of her naivete and lack of experience she makes terrible mistakes. So let them be mistakes. Let Ruby learn from those consequences. Yes, she put too much responsibility on herself and thought she knew what she was doing. Then when it blew up in her face she despaired because she had a high expectation of herself to be the perfect hero.

Yes, you may have good intentions but that can only take you so far. In the real world, some people won't see it that way. All they'll see is a kid thinking she knew better than the adults, who displaced a whole kingdom and burdened them on another kingdom. Ruby tried her best, but that is not enough. She doesn't need to be perfect all the time, but that doesn't mean she can't work on herself to be better in the future.
