like barty stole james' medication bc he was like oh, pills, I wanna do drugs or whatever, but then they actually help. like he feels better bc of it, and through that, he realises that what he feels is indeed not normal.

but he also realises James feels that way too, and he starts to understand him better. eventually, he maybe talks to him about it. they help each other because they're the only ones who understand how the other feels, and they bond over it.

okay but i love the idea of barty just messing with james all the fucking time when it comes to reg like regulus calls out like "hey, baby" and barty replies at the same time as james "yes? what do u need?" and james hateees it but ngl reg finds it funny every single time and mind u all reg and barty ever did was kiss once but barty always brings up being reg's first kiss ahjsdbash so fucking annoying and sometimes evan will join in too when he's bored

don't imagine Barty on his knees begging and sobbing to kreacher to find out where Regulus is, and if hes alive and to take him with because no world is sane without his Regulus.

but Regulus last dying wish was, "don't let barty die because of me." so Kreacher just apparates away, leaving a curl up Barty in Regulus bed as he cries and feels a little of sanity slip away.
