haikyuu boys after your divorce
ATSUMU would definitely be the one to mask it. He wouldn’t accept help at first, and would continue every day normally. Osamu would often check in on him, but he seemed totally fine. That’s how everyone knew something was really wrong. It took him three weeks to finally crack after seeing you post a selfie online. He invited his team out to the bar after practice, a thing they do regularly, but his main objective was far too obvious after he had his fifth old fashion in a row. Osamu would have to come pick him up after getting a concerning call from one of his teammates saying he wouldn’t stop crying.
SAKUSA falls off. He doesn’t hide it one bit, despite others thinking he may be closed off. His performance gets sloppy because all he thinks about is the last words he said to you before you brought up the divorce. His apartment is clean, but not the squeaky clean it is used to. Everything he does has a lack of motivation behind it, preformed half-assed no matter what the task. Insults become harsher, and his teammates distance after realizing he didn’t want their help. All he wanted was you back, but it was too late.
BOKUTO lost all sparkle in his eyes after he scored a service ace. He hit it 10x harder than normal, but he didn’t have that moment of excitement afterwards. The crowds would cheer and his teammates would high five him, but he didn’t smile. He was frustrated. He was mad he didn’t hit harder, jump higher or move faster. What could you possibly do better than a service ace? Nothing. But he wanted to be better. He wanted you to show up one day, and see he was better than before. Better than when he thought he was at his best. He continues to hit the ball as hard as he can, wishing you would come back one last time.
USHIJIMA, much like Atsumu, would keep his composure. He would receive calls from Tendo multiple times a day to make sure he was okay, which he assured his best friend constantly that he was. Tendo knew Ushijima better than anyone, and by that, he knew he would never crack. He never did in any situation, all he would do was just come to a realization and act towards it. Tendo constantly waited for the day for Ushijima to suddenly realize the consequences of his actions, and when that day comes, Ushijima is rushing towards your door knowing the exact words he wanted to tell you.
KUROO wouldn’t even look at other women. He was disgusted. For all of his life, he never had an issue with women throwing themselves at him. He was tall, fit and handsome. Of course any woman would practically kneel in his presence, but he didn’t expect it to be this annoying. They didn’t have beautiful eyes like you, and didn’t walk the way you did with a bounce at the heel. They weren’t you, and it was repulsing.
