You sighed,walking into the room as your eyes immediatly landed on the form sprawled over the couch.

The signature marks under his eyes were overtaken with the dark eyebags formed from lack of sleep,his hair even more of a mess than usual,sticking out everywhere.his facial hair had started to grow out a little bit more and he just radiated depression.

You didn’t think someone could look that miserable,yet here he was,the number 2 hero,Hawks,crashing on your couch like he owned it.You didn’t really mind,the two of you were close,seeing as you often underwent training and had been good friends for a while.

You were both lacking seriousness,even if he often pointed out that you were a bit more mature than him-wich was ironic considering you were the youngest of the both of you.

You always had good times,but when you woke up in the middle of the night to your phone buzzing and a monotone voice you barely even recognized as Keigo-you were worried.

"Hey,Kiddo..."

His voice was strained,exhausted,it made your heart ache at the thoughts of what could have possibly rendered the hearthrob hero so lifeless.Was this a villain quirk or something??

"Hi."

You mentally slapped yourself for your robotic response,but you didn’t want to just outright ask him what was wrong,not that you had the time to.You opened your mouth to ask,but he answered faster.

"Can you open the window,(y/n)?i’m outside..."

You blinked,pausing as your brain processed the information.You stood up,walking to your window and spreading open your curtains to indeed reveal a figure hunched over,sitting on the border of your window.He did no motion to alert you of his presence,he didn’t even seem to notice you.He was still staring down into nothing with narrow tired eyes and his phone up to his ear despite you being right in front of him.

"Kei-"

"Can i stay here for tonight?"

He asked softly,muttered.the wind was blowing harder than he was speaking,he was avoiding your eyes,raising his jacket over his mouth.he was acting so out of character,you were scared.

You silently tugged him inside,closing the window to lock the cold air out.You raised a palm to his cheek and gasped.

"You’re freezing!!"

You hissed,immediatly removing your hands.

"How long were you out there for??you could have called me earlier,bird brain!"

He glanced back at you with an unnatural lack of reaction.blinking as if slowly understanding the words that left your mouth.

"Oh..yah,i guess i could have.Sorry,babe."

He shrugged.usually,his nicknames would have made you chuckle or playfully elbow him,and both of you would laugh it off,or he’d tease you even more.But his tone was so flat,robotic,it wasn’t funny.

"So..whats wron-"

"I’ll crash on your couch,is that okay?"

"Um..sure.."

You watched as he turned his back to you and stepped out of your room.

"Wait-how long are you staying here?"

he didn’t answer,shutting the door in your face.you stood there for a moment,realization dawning on you.Whatever had happened,it had broken Hawks.

You inhaled and gathered the courage to walk to the couch,seeing the attractive male sprawled out over his stomach,his jacket over his back like a shitty blanket while his wings laid spread out lazily.He was watching some shitty series on a streaming website,but he was halway listening,he didn’t even seem to notice you.

Okay,enough was enough.You could accept being a supportive friend,offering him a place,giving him food,letting him figure his issues out-but he was beginning to look like a corpse and you wanted no time in jail.

"Keigo"

No answer,no movement.he barely acknowledged you.

"Keigo"

You repeated,and he grunted in response,burrying his head in the pillow you had lended him.You gritted your teeth and pushed him to lay on his back,sitting on his chest and grabbing a handfull of his collar to hold him up eye to eye forcefully.his eyes lightly widened at your actions-if he was acting notmally,he’d smirk smugly and make some shitty sex remark,but right now all he could muster was an uninterested sigh.

He closed his eyes,before re opening them as not to fall asleep on the spot

"What is it,kid?”

His voice was rough,throat dry.it hurt to talk and only now did he notice it,wincing and rubbing his neck with a whine.

"Don’t do that shit to me.you need to move your ass off my couch,open up to me and go take a shower"

He hummed,nuzzling your grip.

"So bossy~..."

He remarked tiredly,yawning as you grabbed a hold on his face,cupping his cheeks and frowning.face twisted in concern.

"How long since you last slept..?"

He avoided your eyes again,looking away.You both knew he couldn’t lie to your face

"Keigo,how.long.since you-"

"4 days.i think i’m starting to go insane"

he admitted sourly,curling up on himself

"You didn’t take any pills?"

"No.they taste gross,i’d much rather eat you out then-"

You placed a hand over his mouth before he could finish or add,shaking your head as you ran your fingers through greasy blonde locks,cringing at the texture as you pushed the strands back into place carefully

"Ugh,go take a shower,change your clothes and go to sleep already you oversized chicken"

The hero hummed,sticking his tongue out as a weak,tired chuckle escaped his sore throat

"What a special way to cheer me up..."

He wrapped his arms around your waist,pulling you in to kiss your neck affectionately.

"I promise i’ll be out of your hair by tomorrow,princess.m’sorry if i mad you deppressed too"

"Okay lovebird,i’ll get the water running"

He snickered

"Shouldn’t you be washing me~?"

You smiled quietly,shaking your head.Keigo was back to himself,all because of some attentive grooming
