I’ve been wanting to do this comic since forever because someone mentioned my fox!adrien design reminds them of fantastic mr. fox, and I love that

Ladybug chooses her Chat Noir AU

AU where Ladybug is the only one who gets a miraculous in the beginning and has the option to give anyone the Chat Noir miraculous, a different person for each battle according to her needs. There’s always obviously a better and more convenient pick for the fight at hand, BUT, she keeps going way out of her way to choose Adrien every single time even though he’s like the worst pick. He’s under constant surveillance from his tyrant father, in the public eye, pretty boy who looks like he can maybe bench press a few puppies and that’s it (as seen on the “April” page of Marinette’s calendar). He also blubbers about being not worthy of her choosing and she tells him to shut up, handsome and catch the akuma for you, will ya, sweet cheeks?

He dutifully protects and fights as Chat Noir and gets a really good “that’s a good boy” pet on the head and face everytime he helps. It makes all the chaotic stress worth it, even if he now sleeps with one eye open, not knowing when she will kidnap him next.

Marinette is just his friendly acquaintance at school but sits behind him quietly and gets a good smell of his hair whenever she can. She can tell he’s lonely and needs to get out more. She thinks to herself he’d make a perfect Chat Noir.

So yeah she’ll be in the middle of an intense fight and just like needing to use her lucky charm, she’s pressed to the point of needing to choose someone to be chat noir!! She looks at her options and questions out loud what to do then says, “that’s it!” And then hard cut to wherever Adrien is, and he gets sneakily kidnapped. She grabs his foot and pulls him into a manhole in the ground. She grabs the back of his of his collar and pulls him into a dark janitor closet. Ladybug wears a mustache and tie at a fancy restaurant and pours him wine like a waiter in plain view of others, who don’t see anything off about her. He’s a little on edge. She spills it on him and apologizes and uses it as an excuse to hoist his chair back onto those little dollies that ppl use to roll away boxes, back to the kitchen where he can freshen up. He nervously goes with her not knowing what battle he’s about to have to fight. He knows better by now than to make a break for it, she always catches him. When Ladybug chooses you, you’ve been chosen. There’s no getting out of it.

She’s sometimes terribly and excellently timed, if he’s talking to another girl who laughs a little too hard at his joke, she’ll snatch him up from ceiling window while the girl’s not looking. When he’s about to have a pop quiz he wasn’t prepared for, ladybug leaves a doctor’s note in his place for an embarrassing medical reason why he had to leave (and she’s already hopping over buildings with him over her shoulder like a sack of potatoes)

All in all Ladybug just has a special trust and liking for her classmate and celebrity crush, Adrien, who she knows suffers from loneliness and needs freedom and fun in his life.

Adrien has a larger than life crush and fear of Ladybug who he wants to to right by, but wishes so desperately he could have some notice of when he would have to put his life on the line for Paris. Maybe he’d have some coffee or brush his teeth beforehand. He has to depend on adrenaline and the desire to impress Ladybug alone.

Adrien also has a little classmate crush on Marinette who seems so sweet and cool but mystifies him by how she always successfully slinks away whenever he tries to get to know her. She’s good at creating diversions, disappearing, avoiding him. Is she shy? Does she hate him? It keeps him wanting to try. He comes up with a plan every day to try to trap Marinette into conversation and she always somehow gets out of it like a fast, slippery rabbit.

He is determined to become her friend and has angry heart eyes whenever she gets away.

day 2 :: stargazing

I discovered the exact moment the dynamic of Ladynoir switched.

The hug from Animan was a desperate action from Chat Noir. After nearly seeing Ladybug die, AKA one of his greatest fears.

The hug from Miracle Queen was a desperate action from Ladybug, after making a serious mistake and out of fear from being alone and powerless.

In Animan, Ladybug reciprocates and leans towards him, but he's still a lot more closer to her than she is to him. Vice versa for Miracle Queen.

Both hugs have one of them resting their heads on the other's shoulder, ie The Sleepy Shoulder hug, plus a platonic hold from the other, ie holding on only to their arms and shoulders without their bodies touching.

You can see that at the exact time Ladybug chose to hold on, Chat Noir chose to let go.

If I had to describe the Lovesquare in ML, I would describe it as an Ice Cream Sundae.

It has a strong base of sweet French vanilla (The cute Adrinette moments). Has some nice hot fudge (the Ladynoir banter) some chopped bananas (that marichat interactions that are sweet yet a bit out there at times) and a drizzle of caramel (for that sweet mutual Ladrien) and the cherry on top is that each of these dynamics will come together when all is revealed.

Then people started adding too much to the sundae, like adding the love rivals. (adding Blueberry jam) which overwhelms the flavors and begins to take away from the perfectly balanced sundae.

Now its a sloppy sugary mess that makers of the sundae ensure will be fine and worth it but you can see the ice cream beginning to melt and mix with the jam and then you see people adding jalapeño crunches (the reveal drama/ angst) to the top (which might add a bit of kick but is also taking away from what was established.)

Like you could have easily saved it by not adding all the stuff to it or just letting people dig in earlier. 

Perfect description

I don’t know about you but that first version of the ice cream ssundee is what brought me in, and I was ready to eat! But then they kept making us wait making the ice cream melt, the bananas started getting a bit old and brown, and now the ssundee isn’t as pleasing as it was before

And now that they added unripe ingredients, (like the power ups and unexplored Kwamis) mixed with the over ripe bananas and melted ice cream doesn’t feel balanced at all
