Nino: Obsessed with Micheal Jackson, he says MJ is like his soul as he claims they both know how to chill. He's a total geek and plays his songs on repeat, sometimes singing out the chorus to "Thriller" in class, which freaks everyone out, but Alya finds absolutely adorable. His favorite game "besides Super Penguino" is Micheal Jackson: The Experience. He dances to those songs for hours on end, Ella and Etta get curious and watch in awe as Nino does the moves perfectly. Alya has to physically pull him away to eat, sleep, spend time with family, etc... But his favorite thing is he wears a Micheal Jackson outfit complete with matching glove and likes to sing randomly to Alya, his famous example being "The Way You Make Me Feel" as he likes to reenact the music video. Or on Halloween he likes to scare Alya by pretending he's a Micheal Jackson zombie and dancing to "Thriller".

Nino is also a god on acoustic guitar, he got it when he was about 10 from his parents and likes to play music on it, he'll sing anything. His favorite songs are "Just The Way You Are", "Perfect", "Safe and Sound" and other cheesy romantic songs he can sing. Sometimes Alya has nightmares of when she was Lady Wifi or Rena Rage and Nino grabs his guitar and plays a soothing melody as he leans Alya onto his chest, singing soft lullabies to calm her and get her to sleep again.

You know every time I remember Volperion, I question how people (That Guy) believe that Marinette is more emotional and unreasonable than Adrien (though he's just sad/violent). But, part of the writing flaw is the two heroes skill sets, Ladybug has a yo-yo and random object (neutralizing), while Chat Noir has a baton and a Death Touch (simply offensive). The whole balance concept is narratively unfair for their partnership, because it forces Ladybug to listen and think while Chat can decide to.

Sorry, but no one can convince me that the one who constantly puts the city first, is frequently the last defense of the city left standing, and the one who always seems to apologize to people who hurt her is supposed to be the "unreasonable one" of the duo.

That aside, the power imbalance between the two heroes could be resolved through two different methods:

1) If they took out the Lucky Charm ability and just let the Ladybug power be the Miracle Cure. It's noted that the Lucky Gaze she uses to determine what to do to solve a problem is Marinette's own natural ability rather than a Ladybug power. We even see it come into play during Oblivio when she uses it while untransformed. In this case, Marinette has a talent for improvisation and utilizing her surroundings to Macgyver her way out of problems. The Lucky Charm at most seems to offer some guidance on what to look for, but lets be real, sometimes it's so off the wall or random that it comes off as unnecessary and it honestly seems that she could have just come up with a plan on her own. So having Miraculous Ladybug be the Ladybug's main power would make sense and be a direct contrast to the Black Cat's Cataclysm. One to destroy everything and the other to fix it. Duality.

2) Have the Black Cat Miraculous be the Miraculous needed to destroy amoks. That way there would be a reason to have it be active instead of doing the relatively intelligent thing and hiding away one of the two ultimate Miraculous that the villain is after and which when combined can make a Wish in favor of another support Miraculous. The butterflies are or at least appear to be real beings and it's understandable that they would need purification to release them of the negative energy corrupting them instead of just outright destroying them. But feathers are feathers. It's bad enough that the Peacock power comes off as a ripoff of the Butterfly, but there is no reason to require the amoks be purified and the feathers released. They're feathers. There is no reason to tell them "bye bye" and let them loose into the city the way she does with the butterflies and the line (at least in the English version) just comes off as weird. This way, the Black Cat Miraculous has a purpose and necessity to have around, and Adrien would have a greater role that would give him a greater responsibility in the ongoing conflict and take some of the pressure off Ladybug. It also has the added bonus of removing the option for him to sacrifice himself for Ladybug yet again and leave her to fight alone with no way out because unlike him, she can't afford to let herself lose and leave everything to someone else.

I’d argue that the peacock is like an unnecessary stronger ripoff. You don’t need to wait until someone has a bad day, you can just “make it” out of LITERAL THIN AIR (like it’s some power of creation)

The peacock can make LITERAL AKUMATISED PEOPLE so why is there a need for the butterfly??

You know what would be super messed up.

Alya/Rena Rouge being the one that interacts with Chat noir, acting like an intermediary between Ladybug and Chat noir. Like as Alya becomes more trusted, Ladybug has to take care of something, she tells Rena Rouge what to tell Chat noir to do. Afterall, she needs to focus on the plan. There is a patrol? Well surely Rena Rouge can go instead of her, she is having a break through with guardian stuff. Better then losing progress on her work and that way chat noir wouldnt be alone.

And Chat noir starts realizing that Rena Rouge is basically Ladybug's Nathalie, and it dawns on him.

Okay so I had this idea.

So Ladybug and Chat noir have their falling out. Its bad, its pretty bad. Chat noir doesn't quit being a hero, he is just done treating this like a partnership, its basically a job for him now. Ladybug can do her patrols with Rena Rouge or whoever she decided to trust more than him. Ladybug can't exactly fault him for that, but it hurts her too. And Rena Rouge stopped trying to mediate after Chat noir bit her head off during the argument. So Ladybug and Rena Rouge agree to give him some space.

Now Adrien's relationship with Ladybug suffered, but somehow, during this time, His relationship with Marinette improved a lot. He needed an escape from his escape. And Marinette provided him that. A comforting friend, a warm family happy to have him over. It was a pleasant little haven.

He is hanging out with her more. She doesn't get mad when he suddenly dips out, she is actually really cool with things. Honestly she is the person he really needed at this point in his life. He starts seeing her in a better light, wondering if maybe marinette was the one he should have been looking for all this time.

During one of their hang outs, an akuma attacks the bakery. Adrien focuses on protecting Marinette. He will make sure she is safe and as soon as he gets an opportunity, He will get out as chat noir and help.

Rena Rouge arrives and gets dealt with too quickly, not even giving Adrien time to get marinette to safety.

They are hiding in her room and Marinette is freaking out, wondering if chat noir will save them. (Though she is saddened saying it, she misses her kitty)

-Adrien realizes he doesn't have time to wait for Ladybug and decides to do what he was going to do in Optigami.

"Please keep this a secret."

He transforms in front of her. Then he dives down the door to fight the akuma.

-Marinette has a LOT to process, Chat noir is Adrien, Adrien is chat noir. Chat noir trusted Marinette with his identity.

-But right now she needed to transform.

-So she turns into Ladybug and goes down the door.

-The Akuma has been dealt with, pinned down and the item in Chat noir's claws.

"Took you long enough."

He tosses her the item. She purifies the akuma, makes the charm and gets the charm to the former akuma.

-Ladybug goes for a fist bump but he walks right past her. He asks where Marinette is.

-Ladybug gives Chat noir the " Oh she is safe." But Chat noir snaps at her.

-"Where specifically."

-Ladybug realizes he is concerned and she says she put her on a rooftop nearby. She will go get her.

-"Just go check on Rena Rouge and Leave." Chat noir dismissed.

-Ladybug casts miraculous cure and ensures Rena Rouge is fine.

-Ladybug tells her to go. Rena Rouge could tell Ladybug is having a rough day, she will ask later.

-Ladybug rushes to a nearby rooftop and Detransforms just before chat noir got there.

-Chat noir hugs Marinette in relief. He shifted back to Adrien.

-Marinette confesses that its a lot to take in. Marinette asks if Ladybug would be okay with him telling...

-"Probably not, and she can take his miraculous later if she has to."

-Marinette was hurt by the sharp response... but she knew she had no right.

-"What matters is you're okay."

Ok so unpopular opinion, but I actually liked the braid that they gave her, and I’ve never seen anyone change it so it wouldn’t be as accessable.

Also I don’t think it would’ve been so much as a target since if shes so powerful, she’ll just dodge, like most anime characters with long hair do.

But oh well, I also changed her eyes, because I think everyone changed it to blue accents and blue line around the costume.

since my post about the female heroes’ costumes got a little bit of traction i figured i’d share some quick redesigns of ladybug’s costume, just to show you guys how lazy the canon one is.

so i came up with these three designs in probably less than half an hour, and i’m only one (1) amateur with very little actual skill. the first ran with the origins nickname of ‘wonderbug’ and ripped off wonder woman’s design. the second is blatant cultural appropriation. the third is a cutesy bug-theme. all pretty uninspired to be quite honest.

if you don’t mind my saying, i like those better than the canon body paint costume.

marinette’s actual design is so incredibly bland and uncreative i honestly don’t see how a team of professionals got away with publishing it.
