what i loved most about okoye is that even though she could put up a front of Stoic Emotionless Warrior when she wanted to – the rest of the time, when she felt something, she wore it on her face BIG. and she was ALLOWED to do that. she didn’t have to keep her emotions pretty.

Okoye lost T’Challa twice. Yes, I’m saying twice because she doesn’t know that he survived yet in the first gif. Look at the first time and compare it to the second. She has composure during the Warrior Falls fight but completely loses it when T’Challa turns into ash. She lost her king twice. And no one is talking about it. 

I’m gonna be at WonderCon in a few weeks (artist alley table B4), and I’m scrambling to prep stuff…. working on this new print of Okoye.

You guys I really liked Black Panther *_* I mean, Shuri was clearly the best character in the movie, but I’ve had this image in my mind since I walked out of the theatre… like, car chase through the neon streets of South Korea I must draw this thing. So Okoye print first. I’m gonna try to get a Shuri one done before con… I’ll draw the titular character eventually ^^;
