So, @totallysilvergirl always says she's not the only one interested in my werewolf!Johnlock AU...I'm hoping it's real and I'm not just annoying everyone else XDDD A new chapter is out, and if you're a ff.net person, you'll find it here. And since ff.net is evil and won't let me add links, unlike ao3, if you want the recipe of that thing with peas (at least in my headcanon), it's here.

About a year ago I read a really wonderful Sherlock fic that I can not find anymore and I would love to read it again. Searching on AO3 did not work so I hope one you knows which one I mean. Sherlock is back from his two years away and is physically hurt (difficulty walking and I think one of his hands is partly disabled) he is staying at some sort of rehabilitation centre in the north ( maybe Scotland) where he composes music for the local choir and a piece for veterans day. His room is at the top of a tower so he feels somewhat safe because he is extremely traumatized and has difficulty interacting with people. John travels up north once a week to meet Sherlock in a teashop in the village and slowly gains his trust. With John's help Sherlock slowly heals.

Does anybody recognise this ?

I am happy to tell you this is The Ground Beneath Your Feet by Chryse. An absolute classic.

This is one of the best fics in the history of ever. I have read it so many times. Heck, I'm going to re-read it right now. Aaaaah thank you for reminding me of this fic!

It's heartwarming to see so much love for this fic. After BBC Sherlock gave us the best 3 seasons of television ever, the Johnlock fandom has given us some of the best writers and the most heartbreakingly gorgeous stories I have ever read. We're Still Here.

Eight years ago, when the results of the 2016 election became clear, a group of us pulled together what we thought would be a mid-sized fanworks auction as a way to throw some financial support to progressive organizations in need.

Since then, that circle has widened more than anyone could ever have anticipated. Our ever-growing community has done amazing things together, showing up for one another and for organizations on the ground all over the country doing vital, challenging work for vulnerable people.

We’ll still be here next year, but there’s another larger point to be made:

In this terrible time, it is still possible to build things together.

In fact, it is more urgent than ever that we build things together in order to bring the world a little closer to the world we want to live in.

There are people in your community online who need you. There are people in your neighborhood who need you, even if you haven’t met them yet — and if you haven’t, now is the time. We can and will survive, and help one another survive, by showing up for one another.

Take some time to mourn; we will be, too. And then let’s organize.
