“I just don’t understand,” Jemma said, taking a swig of her beer. “Why do I have to be married to Ward?”

“That’s the point. You don’t. Because you’re slowly falling in love with the mysterious, overly Scottish, journalist. So, you leave Ward.”

“And he’s fine with all of this? You know, it seems a little overly dramatic.”

“No,” Skye slurred. “It’s all good. Because it turns out he’s been sleeping with the cute hacktivist the whole time,” she added with a wink.

“Oh, of course. No more of this fantasy nonsense. And I’m cutting you off.”

Skye pouted. “Like mine’s any worse than sneaking into a planetarium and-”

“Yes it is.” 

Skye sighed. “I’m just glad I was included in the star sex.”

“No you weren’t.” Jemma frowned. 

“Ah,” Skye waved off. “It was implied.” She patted Jemma on the shoulder and went to grab another round of beer.

Skye looked at the open document on her computer, sitting cross legged on her bed. 

The story just... it needed something. 

So she got to work.

And Skye didn't ignore it, three months later. 

Technically, she was under arrest. It was a misunderstanding, really. She had (supposedly) hacked into a government server. It would all be cleared up soon.

A new guy walked into the interrogation room. He was tall, so tall, with a jawline that honestly should not be allowed (Skye was pretty sure). Before he could say anything, she said, "Hey, what up?" But that did not lighten the mood, as she intended. So she blurted out, "You guys are making a big mistake."

"You don't look that big."

Her eyes grew wide. "So, I know the timing isn't perfect here... but as it turns out, we're soulmates."

At least it would be a good story to tell the kids...

I can tell you who does not approve. Coulson. Not one bit. (And he has given Ward countless you treat my daughter with respect no funny business speeches).

About once every two weeks Skye declares that it is time for a Girls Night. Which basically involves a good deal of alcohol and a game of ‘who can make Jemma more uncomfortable by talking about their sex life’ (and she is completely unprepared for the night that Simmons gets her revenge and actually brings color coded report of her entire sexual history… with charts). 

Who steals the other’s clothes

Skye. Are you kidding me. And she is a total brat about it. Like Heyyyyy guys, guess what- this is Ward’s shirt! This is his jacket! Can you tell these are his pants??? 

(“Yes, Skye, you had to roll them up ten times so you could walk, we all know”- Bobbi).

Who’s the PDA fan

Skye again. Ward doesn’t really know what to do about it… and he’s vaguely uncomfortable with the extreme amounts of wolf whistling (coming from both Trip and Bobbi).

Ward. But after about a month of Skye dropping hints.

Heyyy Ward. Wow. Did you get that email Simmons sent to the whole team definitely not because I forced her to with all those rings? Totally important for the mission.
