I Need Your Help. Yes You.

Today, I talked with an incarcerated man named Shan Carter. He is on death row in North Carolina. He needs your help to share his story. He wasn’t given a fair trial and he has proof that he is innocent. His legal representation is ignoring him. His case is filled with so much corruption. This is serious, you guys.

I’m not just saying my brother is innocent just because he said so, I’m saying he is innocent and wrongly convicted because there is documentation and DNA test to prove he is innocent. All Shan and his family wants is justice to be served and to prove the corruption in his case so that no one will have to go through what he is because of the corruption in the system. man i wish i could point out genuine issues in the inclus community without getting called an aphobe

like back when i was an exclus people were aware of issues in the community and pointed them out but god i cant even say inclus have a problem of platforming violent racists without getting #cancelled

inclus dont respect the wishes of people who are triggered by the q word and have a tendency to force it upon them and/or use it in place of lgbt+ 

i say this as an ‘inclus’ or whatever. this community has a problem and actively shuts down people who talk about it

great post but @ ‘people who have committed crimes shouldn't be cancelled, but should get fucking arrested’ prisons are inherently inhumane and there are other options that help them rather than hurt them. no one should get arrested

but if you're a rapist, an abuser or a pedophile, then you should get arrested. you belong in a prison. as someone who cares more about victims feeling safe, who cares more about getting them justice and closure, i really feel that these criminals should be removed from society to prevent them from committing further crimes.

i don't care if that makes me unempathetic, i don't care if that means i'm a cold bitch, i just don't give a shit about people who could abuse their supposed loved ones or violate another human.

not all felons are rapists, abusers, or pedophiles. the idea youre spreading that all felons are one of those 3 is directly harmful to them and prevents them from acquiring employment upon release and is cited by politicians as why felons shouldnt vote. and still.....there are other options......house arrest, therapy, changing society so abuse is more frowned upon, etc. prison is still inhumane and i wouldnt wish it upon anybody, and i say this as an abuse victim.

“everyone has a right to their faith” and “organized religion is often toxic, and a tool used to control people” are two thoughts that can coexist and do not contradict each other

“organized religion“ you mean christianity. you tagged this post as ‘muslim’ and ‘judaism’ and i dont hate to break it to you, but toxicness within those organized religions are directly caused by christianity and colonialism. you are talking about christianity 

i speak french in public to my grandparents and to my boyfriend. people are surprised that im bilingual and say its cool and ask me to teach them some time

but when one of my classmates speaks arabic in public to her family, she gets strange and disgusted looks. no one asks to be taught arabic. no one says its cool that shes bilingual

its racism plain and simple

If you don’t want to learn Arabic you’re racist now.

It’s not as if French has any cultural cachet.

There’s nothing that makes these languages different in the eyes of Westerners apart from race; not ease of learning, not education, not linguistics, not legal systems, not culinary practice, not history, not cinema, not theology, not tourism, not finance, not lineage not comparative influence, not personal choice or preference nothing.

All those italicized words by the way, they all come from French o me have a common origin with French.

french culture, legal systems, history, and influence most easily summed up as ‘the french are racist and fucking suck and this language sounds like youre choking on a crossaint its that bad’

i say this as a frenchie, suck it 

white people need to start raising content creators who are poc instead of writing our stories for us. like either do your damn research or don’t write the story. i constantly see white people trying to have “representation” and 90% of the time they’re caricatures of what a poc is.

white people consistently gravitating towards another white person telling the story of a brown person and giving themselves a pat on the back for basically telling their white experience through a brown mouth. white people, please understand yall are part of the problem and you need to be conscious of the work you’re consuming and making.

then there’s poc content creators giving accurate deep portrayals of their experience who get little to no exposure and who’s legitimate stories get swept under the rug.

this is about latinx, indigenous, black, mixed, asian, and other racial/ethnic minorities (espeically those who are disabled and/or lgbtq+)

it’s really telling when a white people scrolls past this, so reblog. ask questions. start a dialogue dont just ignore and act like you’re the exception to this.
