All right, listen. It’s pretty damn funny that two weeks ago I posted all like, “oh I don’t really comment chapter-by-chapter, I’m waiting to see what happens next,” but this one broke me.
This chapter was everything I wanted for bkdk, and it’s so much more tender than I ever dreamed it could be.

In which Kacchan finally gets to see Izuku in a hospital (and not even multiple injuries and a heart goo can stop him).
In which my boys get emotional and Katsuki shows us his emotional growth. Again.
In which I can't believe that this boy is the same one as one year ago (in the manga time line).
(has he cried before someone else in the manga? This is precious, he knows he can express his full self in front of Izuku)
(also, he cares about the competing against each other and going forward together)
In which my beloved smile to each others fondly and I go to hyperspace.
I call this character development
Apart for the fact that these two idiots continue to break their arms goddamit
The faith, the silent understanding of each other, THAT FUCKING FINALLY hand grabbing and the resolution to win to save/save to win brought to completion

Sounds familiar Kacchan?
When I first read this chapter I found it strange that Bakugou was where normally you'd expect to see Shoto. I mean, Ochako, Iida and Todoroki have always been the Deku squad, always supporting him and of course they'd be the first ones on the line to help him.
Instead we see Bakugou, a Bakugou that on this chapter wasn't afraid to directly admit in front of everyone that he is the one who knows Deku best, like so many times Izuku has done with him, and everyone just trusted him with what to do next.
It's just a reverse Kamino as many of you already pointed out. That time their classmates went to Izuku to plan how to save Bakugou from the villains, now Kacchan is leading the class to save Deku from himself.
So yeah, I was surprised to see him between Ochako and Iida and I love how he's showing his caring for Izuku without twisted filters ("a bit" of sarcasm, yes, but we love him for that ¯\_(ツ)_/¯).
He wants him to stop these self-sacrificing fights, he wants him to remember himself ("So after all of this...can you still keep smiling?"), he wants him to come back.
And he isn't doing this alone.
Kacchan is willing to fight with his classmates to bring Deku back. He isn't trying to prove himself as the best anymore because he knows everyone in their class cares for Deku and he needs his nerd to understand that too.
I just realised that they're looking at each other. Now I'm realising HOW they're looking at each other.
