Natural rubber comes from Hevea brasiliensis, the rubber tree. It produces latex from vessels in its bark, which is collected through rubber tapping. The bark is slashed and the latex collected in buckets. The tree originated in the Amazon rainforest but has been cultivated in areas with similar climates for commercial purposes. [x]

The Pacific blackdragon is a deep sea fish, that can be found up to depths of up to 3,300 ft. Female blackdragons are about two feet long and have fang like teeth and a long chin whisker. They are black on the outside, aswell as on the inside to prevent light from swallowed bio-luminescent prey shining out. The males are small, about three inches in length, and brownish in color. They have no teeth, no chin barbel and no stomach. Unable to eat, the male lives only long enough to mate.

Horse chestnuts, or conkers, are the seeds of Aesculus hippocastanum. Though native to Southeastern Europe, A. hippocastanum is found worldwide in parks and on streetsides. These trees have white flowers which grow in clusters called panicles, and each panicle grows only a few conkers.
In addition to being beautiful, nutmeg also contains a hallucinogenic chemical, myristicin. It causes visual distortions and paranoia, but also nausea, memory disturbances and tachycardia. It can be extremely dangerous when ingested in these large amounts and requires medical treatment. The amounts used in cooking, however, are perfectly safe.
The plant superhighway by John Runions, Oxford Brookes University
From the outside plants may appear less than mobile, but peer inside and you’ll see a veritable motorway of activity. For proper health and development, resources like water and nutrients must easily get from one part of the plant to another; in vascular plants, these resources can traverse the plant via vascular bundles that are made up of many different cell types. Xylem fibers transport water and dissolved nutrients, while phloem fibers allow substances like sugar to move through the plant.
