A Small Note
Some of you might know that I was running Patreon on the side, offering tarot forecasts on a weekly basis for donations. Was, because after five months of running it and attempting to enchant for subscribers, it's not working out. And it's pretty clear why: tarot readings are a dime a dozen online. There was nothing special about what I offered. The fact that it was not a priority for people to look into despite my urging was also a factor. So here's the deal: what would you, the average Tumblr occultism, be interested in supporting on a weekly (or possibly monthly) basis from a part-time sorcerer? Because it's clearly not Tarot. But it's definitely something. Lemme know.
A Prayer To Money
Let's face it: money is a good thing to have. But we often never completely stop to understand what it is in our lives, and be thankful for it. This prayer was written after reading Jason Miller's book on Financial Sorcery. * Thank you, oh spirit of money, for coming to me. Thank you for having moved through me And opening opportunities for abundance, prosperity, and all the good things in life for me. Thank you for letting me honor you in all things. On Spirits and Kabooms
@numinoushaegtesse had a post about demons having the capacity to screw you over if you weren't careful. And its true. But as @secretworkings and I will attest to, ANY spirit can turn your life into shambles if improperly understood and used. Angelic, celestial, terrestial, chthonic, infernal, outsider - it doesnt matter. You can get mental issues from working with Helios just as easily as getting blunders from working with Hermes Kthoniae. Some (in)famous examples would be: - Rufus Opus getting his house burned down after working with Bune (one of the more highly publicized incidents of this kind); - Andrieh Vitimus having his entire life upended after an invocation of Choronzon; - a friend and colleague of mine exhausted to the bone after the manifestation of a request made in a Jupiterean rite that involved Elubatel; - and my personal experience of having my depression pop in right after doing major Solar work with Helios and the PGM. Magicians, play safe. And remember: magickal explosions are messy! So play safe!

You Know You're A Magician When...
- you maintain contact with Gods/Goddesses/Archetypes in ways that make organized religions envious,
- you have a spirit on speed dial "just in case", - omens at times are SRS BSNS FOR REALZ, - your arm aches because you draw circles from memory,
- having restful, dream-free sleep is a coveted thing, more precious than silver or gold,
- your reaction to baleful spirits is a variation of FUCK YOU GET IN THE CIRCLE/BAG/JAR/CURSE TABLET/what have you.
- you get what you ask for, and then some,
- you have little to no free time between devotions, offerings, rite work, energy work, banishing, and the day job,
- you wonder how the going rate for ghosts and their per diem charges works out,
- you'd happily offend normal people, but hesitate at the thought of offending spirits, faeries, deities, and other magicians,
- "oh hey a crossroad. What can I leave here..."
- you'd happily bless enemies with GTFO OF MY LIFE 5 FUCKING EVER,
- you speak at least one dead language "because it works best",
- you've woken up at the weirdest hours, collected strange things, and did odd rites because you felt you had to,
- you've wondered why people bother with all the physical bullshit at times.
It's just one of the things you take in stride.
A Question on Wealth
I've seen a lot of people talk about money magic here on Tumblr: how to attract it, how to keep it going, and so forth. A lot of people also reblogged images and memes of wealth and prosperity here and there. Here's my question to you all though: at the end of the day, what exactly do you want? Is it more money, or is it more things that money can buy? How much money are you looking for? How do you treat your money? Tell me. I'd like to know more from all of you, largely because it's a very touchy topic. A Banishing Rite
Snap your fingers six times in rapid succession, with the first five tracing a star with each snap. Start with the lower right point and form the star from there. As you do so, say “HEKAS HEKAS ESTE BEBELOI!”.
Seal the banishing with the sixth fingersnap in the center of the pentacle, flicking your wrist outward and away from you as you do so. You may add an invective if you want to do so at this point.
