I got onto IG for the first time in like a year to show some love for Tebecca. Nicole approved 🥰

All I want from S17 is for Rebecca to survive. Bonus if she and Tara work things out, but seriously I just don't want the partner of the first queer main to die.

Considering how often this show kills love interests of the main characters... I say it's already such a low chance she'll make it through S17 unscathed.

It would not surprise me if Messer buries the gays.

I have no opinion about Tyler Green tbrh. Garcia was SOOOOO out of character in S16, she felt like someone entirely different than the woman we've loved for 18 years. So I am ambivalent to the Tyler storyline.

This Nicole Pacent interview from last December has been in my 'to watch' playlist since it came out (I never use my YT account) but I randomly thought about it tonight and decided to finally go watch it.

Around 20:30 into it, they're talking about Tara and Rebecca.

Interviewer: Oh, should we workshop some ship names?

Nicole: Actually, someone's already ahead of you. Someone tagged me in something today...

Interviewer: Oh, wait someone already did it? What is [the ship name] ?

Nicole: Oh, I can't remember what it is. Maybe something like Lawson or, it was weird. I don't remember.

At this point, the interviewer is tosses around suggestions including LeWilson or DocWilson.

Nicole: Oh, couldn't it be like 'Tabecca'?

I'm laughing at this conversation and feeling validated by Nicole's suggestion, because I have been lovingly calling this ship Tebecca since I first got news of Tara having a girlfriend. (The episodes hadn't even aired in my country, but I had Tebecca fic on AO3 within two hours of the US release of the first 2 episodes 😂)

Then I pause the video, because it suddenly dawned on me... (For context: I have an IG account, but I rarely use it and I don't tag people in stuff when I do, so it took a few seconds to connect the dots.)

The conversation jogged my memory that, in my initial excitement about Tara Lewis becoming the first canonically queer main on CM... I made a little Tebecca celebration collage for my IG story (24 hours then it's gone). Now, I only have like 50 followers, who are mostly irl pals and not fandom pals, so I chose to tag Aisha and Nicole on the story (not @ their accounts, but just hashtags so other fans might find it)

With Nicole mentioning someone tagged her in a post with the ship name and my sudden recollection of my post, I'm immediately thinking, 'Oh no, oh god. Wait. It couldn't have been... Right?'

I cross referenced the date of that IG story and this interview. And. Yes. It looks like she was definitely talking about my story. 🤣
