Arg. this is harder because it’s a lot easier for me to be openly positive than negative lol...and I think sometimes criticisms take some time to percolate. I had thoughts on sandwiches today! As in a syllogism. I like burgers/burgers are sandwiches/therefore I like sandwiches, except it is false, because I do not like all sandwiches, but I always like the subset of burgers.
But ARE burgers sandwiches? ARE THEY??? What sandwiches do you NOT like???? I WILL EAT EVERY SANDWICH IN THE WORLD OH MAN.

I noticed you were looking for Charles-in-makeup fic! Have you read Nekosmuse's Sonnet series? It's long and i think the relevant scene is late-ish in the sequel, but, very good fic and eventually features Erik finding Charles-in-makeup irresistible.

Erik Lehnsherr is a visiting professor at Columbia University, as well as an acclaimed and award winning poet. Charles Xavier is a lead researcher with the Genetics Department who is well on his way to tenure. But what happens when Charles has to cancel a class because half his students abandon him in favour of a mysterious new English Lit professor? Naturally he ends up sitting in in the class, where Professor Lehnsherr mistakes him for a student. It's really too bad Erik has such a strict policy against dating students. It's also too bad Erik doesn't seem to know how to use Google.
(THIS SERIES IS SO GOOD---prepare yourself for a long, long burn but it is so worth it in the end)

Why not take your fandom to work day and have either Charles or Erik have the same job and be interested in someone who comes into a meeting/UPS guy.
So far Charles has counted the ceiling tiles, the black and red squares in the checkerboard carpet, and read all of the magazines in the waiting room cover to cover, including US Weekly and Reader's Digest Canada (who knew Waterton Lakes National Park was home to 24 different kinds of fish?).
Moira had warned him it was going to be a dud of a temp position, but he needed the money and the fixed schedule so that he could work on his thesis. Plus reception was definitely a step up from his last job; at this point, any job that didn’t include a hairnet as a part of the uniform seemed like a dream.
That didn’t mean he didn’t want to drill his eyes out with the monogrammed Hellfire Inc. pen on his pristine stainless steel desk. It was nearly eleven and he had only received four phone calls, all four of them from Mr. Lehnsherr’s assistant on the fourteenth floor who wanted to confirm Mr. Lehnsherr’s reservation of the main boardroom at 11:30.
