Hey all! I meant to be more caught up before I went away, but alas, life has been chaotic. I have a trip for a few weeks with family, and I'll have my laptop so I might be able to do some replies, but I'll likely be pretty spotty until I get back. I really want to get back to a good place with activity, and I appreciate you all being so patient <3

Sometimes I remember that I started writing Meg when I was a teenager and cringe as hell (affectionately said), and now I'm almost 25. for everyone who's stuck around since I was being 'edgy', and has now joined me in the 'Meg is whoever I want her to be' era, thank youuuu <3, bless you for putting up with me asdfghhg . And for anyone joining more recently, welcome!! Appreciate y'all too!

Sometimes I fully forget that Meg is, in fact, a canon character because I have strayed so far from canon. And someone asked me once if I'd consider just rebuilding her as an OC, but that would require changing the aspects of canon that I did keep, so, I will remain in this gray area.

But it's also probably stubbornness on my part bc to this day I am pissed about the way she was treated by the fandom. Like, the most classic example of double standards i have EVER seen. Which I know is kind of a hot take bc even to this day, most people who engaged with, cough, the canon material still feel that way.

Applying for grad school is so fucking weird bc it's like, you've been out in the world, working, trying to survive a capitalist hellscape with multiple world catastrophes going on, and now you've gotta put your school hat on again. Oh and you need to find people who will write nice things about you, like 'yes let this human pay you money to do your program, they are so smart i swear'.

also i fully realize it's a privileged position to pursue more education, and I am super grateful, it's just like HUH
