Imagine Barry as a dad, taking the twins to work with him when they’re babies while Iris goes out and investigates shit. The twins just sit in their car seats watching him work while he tries to teach them proper and flails around the lab doing work. 

Imagine Barry taking one kid to work with him, while Iris takes the other to work with her- the little baby speedster just knocked out and swaddled against her chest or back while she goes investigating. The sibling is just sitting in a playpen at the lab staring at Barry while he lectures interns about proper chemical placement or fecal matter on some guys shoes.

This is the sort of thing we talk about instead of schoolwork I guess, idk.

Singh being all :| IT IS NOT BRING YOUR CHILD TO WORK DAY, ALLEN in one breath but also being right in there to pick up the kid when it starts to cry and giving it a little bounce.

But imagine the twins having their own little baby labcoats and goggles that Barry puts on them when their in the lab bc safety first.

Okay but seriously Barry may have been in love with Iris but like they’re also best friends first and foremost. Can you imagine living with your best friend throughout middle school and high school?

Like when I was 14 my best friend nearly killed me because I accidentally shoved her head into the water fountain (the shoving was on purpose her getting water up her nose was an accident). Barry and Iris who freaking learned how to fight/box together, living in the same house, having to deal with each other in the morning before school when they were both half asleep.

Like they were probably constantly stealing each other’s stuff, slipping dumb/slightly insulting notes under each other’s doors when they had locked themselves in their room to study/shower/change/etc, fighting over her got the last poptart at 7 fucking am, and yelling at each other through the bathroom door because one of them was singing that song the other hates with all their might while they were in the shower.

Bringing this back because Iris and Barry being utterly obnoxious to each other is something I need more of in my life. Joe hating his life because their 7am arguments about poptarts or stolen jackets or missing folders happen at least 3 times a week and weren’t teenagers supposed to hate mornings? why are they so lively?

They yell at each other through their walls at 2am about stupid shit and it either evolves into them getting into an actual physical fight (okay it’s more like wrestling but someone comes out of it with bruises because they rolled into the coffee table) or Barry slips crude and insulting cartoons under Iris’s bedroom door and in return she slips passive aggressive news articles and self help flyers under his.
