smello my feathered friends

long time no see :0) my good friend over at fish-daily decided to get things running again so i thought it might be cool to follow in his footsteps

shit got really crazy last year, and while i make no promises that things will be better/more consistent this year, i am going to TRY! TRY! to post birds again

it's been like... 6 months???? idk. who's counting? that's a lot of time. specifically a lot of time for my art to change. i've been working hard on Simplifying stuff into Basic Shapes, so the birds are gonna be a little more... simple from here on out. because it's more fun to do it that way and also because it takes so much goddamn time to churn out a fully shaded bird (especially the raptors holy shit). in the past i've put a lot of pressure on myself to make everything detailed and realistic but i think it's time to Chill Out

i think i'm gonna purge the inbox and start from square one because a) it's really full, and b) i would feel weird replying to an ask from an entire year ago 😦 i'll make the announcement when i do it and then ygs can resubmit your birds if you want!
