alright i am getting ready to purge the ask box! (for reasons i highlighted in my "i'm back" post)
anything from the last month or so will be kept. if you sent in a bird before that, if you would be so kind as to send it in again, that would be lovely :0)
i know it's kind of weird and annoying for me to do this but i think it just makes things less stressful. i wanna start this new era of birds daily with a (mostly) clean slate :03
and thank you everyone for sticking around! the overwhelming support i've gotten since coming back has been absolutely amazing. you guys rock, seriously <3

this was actually the first bird i ever posted, so i thought it would be nice to revisit him to celebrate being back :0D

oh yeah i think i'm gonna have to retire the bird facts under each bird 💔 they were honestly more work than the actual drawings, so it kind of demotivated me from posting when i was busy. buuuuut if you guys wanna help out by putting your own fun facts in the tags you're welcome to continue the tradition :0D
long time no see :0) my good friend over at fish-daily decided to get things running again so i thought it might be cool to follow in his footsteps
shit got really crazy last year, and while i make no promises that things will be better/more consistent this year, i am going to TRY! TRY! to post birds again
it's been like... 6 months???? idk. who's counting? that's a lot of time. specifically a lot of time for my art to change. i've been working hard on Simplifying stuff into Basic Shapes, so the birds are gonna be a little more... simple from here on out. because it's more fun to do it that way and also because it takes so much goddamn time to churn out a fully shaded bird (especially the raptors holy shit). in the past i've put a lot of pressure on myself to make everything detailed and realistic but i think it's time to Chill Out
i think i'm gonna purge the inbox and start from square one because a) it's really full, and b) i would feel weird replying to an ask from an entire year ago 😦 i'll make the announcement when i do it and then ygs can resubmit your birds if you want!
