A massive model of the fetus in utero, almost life-sized.
Constructed from leather and wood, the internal model of the fetus could be positioned throughout the torso, to teach students (possibly midwives) how to deliver babies.
The stiff-leather construction of the internal parts of the model would model the flexibility of the fetal skull and joints.
