In BtY, you recently revealed that Robert, Moira, and Malcolm were members of HIVE, and through Damien Darhk, were aware of Oliver and Felicity's attraction and relationship before the Gambit. I've been thinking...was Moira unsure and slightly wary of Felicity because the latter was Darhk's daughter? Was she possibly worried about the potential consequences of her son, Oliver getting involved with her? Also, will you elaborate in later chapters why exactly Robert decided to align with HIVE?
Working my way through my inbox and finally getting to this question. Thanks for asking, anon! The past in Bound to You is still unraveling, but Felicity’s connection to Darhk is a huge reason why Moira wouldn’t want her son with Felicity. She’s always known Oliver can be selfish and non-committal with women. If Oliver hurt Felicity, then she absolutely would fear for his safety and their status in H.I.V.E.
The reason why Robert joined H.I.V.E. will be touched upon, although the story isn’t that elaborate. Raisa already talked about it a little. She mentioned in a previous chapter that Robert had Bratva ties early on and then just kept getting in bed with the wrong people over the years. It was a slippery slope, and he got in over his head with Darhk (in large part due to Malcolm). But there is a conversation about this coming up in the next couple of chapters.

Oliver’s Purgatory
When i was doing my little review of 5x22, i mentioned the red drug that Kovar used on Oliver, during the flashbacks . And the possibility of seeing that drug again, but now in the present.
When Kovar injected Oliver with that drug (an interrogation drug, called Red Death), he relieved his old memories and he felt that pain connected to those (painful) memories.
So, when Kovar used that drug on Oliver, he made Oliver revive his own Purgatory.
He felt the pain of the last 5 years. Like been shot with Yao Fei’s arrow. The torture…Torture, he suffered and did…
Yao Fei, “reminded” him about the people he lost and the people he killed. Like, Shado, Sara, Akio, Taiana…
But when Laurel “appeared”, she reminded him of the people that were waiting for him, like his mom, his sister, Tommy.
So, since Oliver felt the pain of those 5 years away, maybe he will feel the pain of the last 5 years. So, maybe that drug will be used again during 5x23. - We know Arrow loves parallels and love to connect the old stories with the present.
So, what if Adrian or even Talia uses that drug on Oliver again, and he revives all the pain of the last 5 years, since he returned home. He’ll remember the pain of losing Tommy, Moira, Sara (again), Laurel.
Maybe, that’s how we’ll see Moira during 5x23. During the flashback, Yao Fei was the “messenger”.
But in the present, Moira will be one appearing to Oliver:

Interesting theory! Although, personally, I would love to see a flashback of Moira and Thea learning that Oliver is alive. I always wished we’d gotten that moment.

We’ve managed to hopefully stick the landing on it in a cool way that allows us to see both some of the moments right before we first met Oliver in the pilot, where he launched that flaming arrow and it lit up the signal fire, and also maybe just a little bit after as well, some of the more emotional moments that we never got to see in the pilot. While that’s happening, we have the opportunity to see the island in the flashback, and we might see a little bit of it in present-day as well.

Anything Arrow? — Jordan The finale is going to bring the show full circle to what we saw in the pilot — and more! So that’s why Moira was on set the other day, they are going to show us more scenes of after Oliver was rescued.
I hope to watch Moira and Thea getting the news. Even if my heart is going to be broken I will like to see it.
I wished to watch Tommy getting the news too, just for the sake of seeing him on Arrow again.
And I guess now I have a theory about that Sara Grave in Starling City BTS pic. Either Quentin or LL after getting the news will go there.
Nevertheless this is completly unexpected and I’m loving it.
