Cuties!! Look how young and precious they were. Poor Oliver. I wonder what Felicity said to him to make him think it was maybe a date?? 

One thing I never realized until now: Oliver makes a silent but important statement here, through action as always. The fact that he shows up first. What a contrast to the usual careless persona he projects for everybody else.

And he’s not even a little bit first. This isn’t a “Oh I accidentally didn’t hit traffic, so I made it here before you” kind of first. No, he has ample time to order himself a coffee, find a spot out in the open, near the window so he can keep a lookout for her arrival, and relive a few minutes of the island via a flashback. Like he has clearly been there a significant amount of time before Felicity shows up. He might have even gotten there early. What?! Oliver Queen, Designated Casual Playboy and Billionaire intentionally arrives FIRST to this maybe-possibly-wanting-it-to-be-but-scared-to-hope-it-actually-is date. Why? Because he cares. 

Already, he cares about this woman in a way he can’t quite comprehend, much less explain. Already, Felicity is so different for him, as she draws calm, friendly, human behaviors out of him that he doesn’t even have to try to perform. He acts differently around her, because he feels differently around her. He feels whole. And it becomes very easy to want to be with Felicity Smoak, as effortless and natural like wanting to breathing, like coming home.

And he took the coffee cup with him. Lol. I believe this is the first appearance of the cup.

Wow @smoakmonster I never even thought about how Oliver was there first! This observation gives me all the warm and fuzzy Olicity feels. Also, I wonder if Oliver initially invited her over to his house. Because after Felicity says she was nervous about it, Oliver just accepts it. Like it’s not odd that she would show up outside his totally secured mansion. Maybe he was ready to bring her home early on! ;)

@bindy417 He liked to go to Big Belly Burger with his mom and Thea in season 1 Maybe he takes all the women he loves there. It’s a good spot for a first. Makes me think of a parallel to 522 when Felicity told him they were going to Chez Marta’s and they dressed up for each other.
