Can i add to this?

here is the post no one asked me to make, but it is about time. so I've been seeing around a few posts and articles about Anthony Mackie filming in Saudi Arabia. so, as an Arabian and a Muslim, let me tell you a few things.

more half of the criticism is actually coming from an Islamophobic place, and not an actual political awareness where anyone seems to understand the actual problem of prompting and/or working in countries like Saudi Arabia. if you are only pissed because it's an Islamic country or trying to cancel Mackie, do please refrain from mentioning the subject any more because it's a headache to see and to read.

Saudi Arabia is an oil rich country that abuses its powers to silence political opinions and activists by murdering and jailing them. it starts wars and has the capability of ending them, and constantly choose not to. it is responsible of the dismay and misery of thousands of thousands of immigrant workers and has so little policies to protect them.

I'm not here to teach politics to anyone, there's way more than enough sources out there to educate yourself on actual political danger of US movie industry working with a country as such, instead of showing your Islamophobic and Xenophobic opinions, with a sprinkle of Racism of course, since a huge part of this fandom made it their business to cancel every black MCU actor/actress that dare to take on a bigger role than being the black friend. its a simple rule: do not talk on things you aren't educated on.

NOW the other half, that is aware or a bit aware of the political side, but only when it's not about US. Americans, or most of them, have this mind blowing ability to ignore what their government and army represent to the rest of the world.

Mackie has acted in movies like Outside the Wire and the Hurt Locker and is literally CAPTIN AMERICA in a franchise where he played a soldier, and is an active and proud sponsor of the American army, if you want to spark a conversation, then start about the pro army and pro police movies and series made especially to prompt and celebrate violent institutes and paint them as the good guy.

I always stand with knowing more about foreign affairs and politics, but if you don't want to acknowledge even the basic about your own, then stop making posts and tweets about this. kindly.

I hope you don’t mind me adding to this as well. Hi, I’m also an American Muslim, so I wanted to add my two cents. The people that are dragging Mackie for acting in these films are the same people that are also ignoring their white faves for doing the same. That’s something we need to keep in mind as well.  He’s an actor, he makes movies; if he were expected to turn down every role with propaganda, then he wouldn’t be acting at all. Before expecting black/poc men to sacrifice their career, why not apply that same energy to get your white faves to do the same?  Your white faves can outwardly support the military, take bff photos with Ted Cruz, support a dangerous centrist platform like it benefits all of us -- and they’re still considered the best human being on the planet, but god forbid Anthony Mackie take on acting jobs. LMAO Your racism is showing, fandom. :)
