Emergency Financial Assistance Needed!

Howdy y’all! Recently my girlfriend got diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. Because she was missing the occasional day of work to manage her symptoms, her manager decicded to fire her from her pizza delivery job. We are battling it out with HR because the manager in question has made transphobic and racist comments before, and we believe she has been unfairly discriminated against for her illness and gender identity.

In the meantime, we are missing half of our income. There is a delay on unemployment payments in my state and that money is not going to reach our hands in time to pay our rent and medical expenses. The two weeks we have been waiting thus far have left us very short on cash.

We need money for insulin, we need money for rent.

Our overall goal is to raise $700 to cover our missing rent portion and her insulin for the next few weeks.

A personification of death, she is associated with healing, protection, and safe delivery to the afterlife by her devotees. The worship of Santa Muerte is condemned by the Catholic Church in Mexico as invalid, but it is increasingly firmly entrenched in Mexican culture.

Santa Muerte is also seen as a protector of homosexual, bisexual, and transgender communities in Mexico, since many are considered to be outcast from society. Many LGBT people ask her for protection from violence, hatred, disease, and to help them in their search for love.

Her intercession is commonly invoked in same-sex marriage ceremonies performed in Mexico. The Iglesia Católica Tradicional México-Estados Unidos, also known as the Church of Santa Muerte, recognizes gay marriage and performs religious wedding ceremonies for homosexual couples.
