A/N: Amber!!! Thank you for tickling my brain with this dare! I honestly wanted to do Andy so badly, but this quote was screaming Lloyd to me and I couldn’t resist. To be completely honest, I had no intention of writing him, but my fingers tip-tapped away and I lost all control. I might’ve been possessed.

I also always plan on writing a Drabble, and then it ends up being as long as one of my fic chapters, but anyway, I hope you enjoy!

Ever since you were old enough date, you’ve been happily independent. You grew up in a small town, surrounded by blue collar families, including most of the members of your own.

You’d always had a keen ability to fit in anywhere, which you attribute to your upbringing. Your mom worked a corporate job, while your dad spent all day in a mechanic shop.

I think a piece of advice I would give a new writer is to just start! (Wow, ST, good job, so descriptive and helpful, haha 🙄) I think all sorts of works have an audience. I remember when I was considering actually publishing something for the first time, I saw a post where the gist was ‘if you’re scared about it being low quality, do it anyway. Your writing will get better the more you practice.’ I’ve held on to that as I’ve kept writing and I love looking back and seeing how much I feel like I’ve improved over just the few chapters I’ve published.

I would also say, don’t be scared to do a variety of things. Try it all, I like writing movie reviews even tho like no one reads them, lol. At the end of the day, it’s about what you enjoy writing for yourself and not necessarily garnering an audience.

I think I decided to share my work when I realized I had so many ideas. I love reading the work of others, but there were a lot of scenarios in my head that I wanted to see on paper. It’s a lot sometimes to request what you’ve got going on in your head to another writer (even tho many of them are so sweet and will absolutely indulge you), so I figured I would try my hand at writing. It kinda helped that I was writing what I know. I’ve always wanted to live on a farm (my family owns a small one), or move into the mountains. These are just dream scenarios for me that made sense.

I’d have to say my comfort movie is probably the 2010 DCOM: Starstruck.

Idk what it is about it, there’s just something about the 2010s teen romance vibe that really gets me every time. Sure, the main character has a really bad case of ‘I’m not like other girls syndrome,’ but I feel like that’s a big product of the era. There’s just something nostalgic about the LA vibes in the movie, the found and forbidden romance, that I kinda love. Who wouldn’t want to run into a celebrity, who they don’t even really know much about, and then fall in love?

It’s also got a pretty decent soundtrack, but I could spend hours going into the politics of who actually sang the songs and why Disney is so weird about that stuff and everything else going on in the movie.

Anyway, catch me curling up with a cup of tea and a fluffy blanket to bask in the warmth that is this movie for me, haha. Thank you so much for asking!!

PS: now is it my favorite movie? No, probably not anymore, but it’s just good enough that I’m happy to have it in my back pocket at all times. My true favorite movie is a totally different question.

So I’ll be completely honest, I’m not that caught up on my marvel knowledge and I don’t have the time to rewatch/research rn. Plus, I’m honestly not sure if there is anything novel that I would want to change that we don’t already see within the fandom. I’ll give something I was chatting about just last week.

I talked about in this post, Steve mentioning how bland food was in the past. When I brought that up to my one friend, he and I had a bit of a fun conversation. This is honestly such a crack-post, so I’m sorry, but also, I’m not sorry. We need to become more okay with being a little bit silly. So…WHAT IF:

Steve went back to the 40s and realized food was disgusting to him. He didn’t enjoy the bland, boiled food whatsoever, and so, with his time at home, he took up cooking. He purchased spices and worked to acquire cook books and recipes from all sorts of other cultures. He finally took advantage of the melting pot that is America, and his new time of peace, cooking for himself and Peggy (despite her sensitive British palate). This went as far as him making food for dinner parties and everyone in the neighborhood raving about it. (I know he wouldn’t be able to do this next part, but bare with me) Everyone insists he needs to share his cooking expertise, so he does, writing several cookbooks and opening restaurants, revolutionizing American cooking. So I’ve got a degree in Chemistry, and I specifically worked on inorganic synthesis of compact quantum dots. Now, what does this actually mean? I combined chemicals to make little metal spheres that glow when you flash UV light on them. I don’t do this work anymore, but I would absolutely love to. I’ve also done a lot of work in biology labs where I worked with DNA repair enzymes in a cancer center.

Right now, I’m not actively researching, as I’m taking classes for a Master’s degree in Medical Science while working on my applications for Medical School (and to postpone the student loans😬) but I’d love to get a job in a lab again. These are just some of the sciences I’m trained in, not counting all the research I do as a hobby lol.

But in general, I love researching a bunch. Tbh any source on google is way better than how dense some scientific papers are, so I hope I do a decent job at making what I say understandable for a general audience when I present research and little facts I find.

Chapter 4 of Bigger Houses had me geeking out over neon signs lol, but I hope this gave some good insight. Thank you so much for asking, can’t wait for your dare!

Hiii!! Thank you so much! You’re so sweet. I’m so happy to be one of your favorites, considering writing is something I’ve (and also my teachers until I got to college) never considered myself particularly great at. I truly appreciate your kind words, they help to keep me excited about writing.

This is an amazing question! I think I would say my favorite thing about Bucky is his silent propensity for goodness. I think it especially shows in TFATWS with the juxtaposition against John. Bucky doesn’t really make a big deal of the fact that he’s doing good, he just kinda gets to work. And he’s happy to not be the figure head, good at supporting others. (Does this come from a military background and the additional brainwashing? Possibly. But you can see it in TFA, too, even before.)

I think my favorite thing to write about Bucky is when that stoic demeanor cracks. I love giving a small view of what’s truly going on beneath the surface and the moments where he can’t help but let it show through a little. Especially when he’s around someone he cares about a lot, or something threatens them. Those small, humanizing and vulnerable moments are the best.
