Ok, but now I'm thinking about when he first started out. Probably about 22 and just excited about the prospect of getting paid to have sex. And for the first few months, that's all it was. He was having fun, making money, not taking anything too seriously. But then he gets his first client, who really lets herself be vulnerable with him, let's him see the ways she's a little broken. And that's the first time he understands the responsibility and power that could come with this work. And when she leaves a little happier than when she got there, not just in a physical way, he finds meaning in it. And it changes how he approaches the whole thing.

Every time I see the two of you chat like this about this Johnny, I honestly get so happy. Not only do I love seeing Johnny doing something like this, not only fulfilling for himself, but fulfilling and healing for others, but it’s amazing to see just how much fic can affect people. Okay, so it’s been a few days …

Screw it, I’m going to rant because I’ve wanted this cameo for such a long time … and now I’m disappointed to say I wish this cameo didn’t exist.

First thing that bothered me when I saw the leaked images was his appearance. That Fantastic 4 suit is the worst suit I’ve ever seen of the franchise (Okay, maybe not as bad as the 2016 fantastic 4 suit, but close). I understand he was meant to look unrecognizable for his introduction, but the scarf and cape covered his suit well enough - it should have looked good and iconic, like a real superhero suit and not a tight tracksuit.

Second of all, why couldn’t he wear a wig ? Like, why does it look like he was considered last minute and they didn’t try to make him look similar to how he looked as Johnny Storm from back in the day ? You know, the dirty blonde, floofy hair or the buzzcut ? Or a more blonde wig to have put it more into question if it’s Steve or Johnny … he really just showed up to set, put on that hideous suit and said his lines before calling it a day. Σ(￣ロ￣lll) It gives quantity over quality …

For me, character design is a crucial part of a character, which is why Steve, Ransom and Johnny are my top fav CE. Characters. So seeing how Johnny went from such an iconic look and design to that in the Deadpool & Wolverine movie … huge downgrade and disappointment. He looks like his character Cole Turner from Ghosted cosplaying as Reed Richards. I HEAVILY dislike that hairstyle at this point. ლ(ಠ_ಠლ)

And then we have the characterization, which isn’t as bad as the design for me but again … the introduction of him was great and would have been even more amazing if he actually looked like Johnny. Otherwise he was being so useless. He served no purpose whatsoever, and his whole deal without going into much detail was so dumb. Very out of character compared to how he played his character back in 2005 - 2007. And again, I get it, - with his older age I wouldn’t expect him to be completely the same, but what was given was just random. It was a waste of his screentime with the short time he had. He was just meant to show up, be a silly 40 year old man and then die - and that kills me inside. Johnny is supposed to be cool, have charisma and be funny. But he was just a joke in this. Like come onnnnn !! (*꒦ິ⌓꒦ີ)

Plus, this is THE SECOND TIME a Fantastic 4 character shows up for 5 minutes in a movie before dying, ( * cough * Doctor Strange 2 * cough * ) and it’s actually ridiculous. He could have been sent away in a different way - maybe, I dunno - thrown into another dimension. But no, MCU said it’s rewind time. So boring and unfortunate for a beloved character.

Agreed! It was a misuse of something that had the opportunity to be great! The entire scene seemed really ooc and unrecognizable to the Johnny we knew from that film characterization. There was something they could’ve done for better costuming and appearance. Maybe trim the beard if he won’t shave it. Arrange the hair differently. Make it lighter, give sideburns. Making his talking cadence make sense!! Felt like a random throw-in fever dream

Steve is a sparkling wine - not only my fave, but a reliable classic with a twist of excitement that tempts you to drink glass after glass

Lloyd is that colorful cocktail - flamboyant, fun, but surprisingly deadly strong and has you losing your head and panties quickly

Andy is an expensive red wine - ages well, has that strong if slightly bitter taste and coats your tongue so nicely, makes you relax so easily

Jake is a good beer with syrup (don't knock it, if you haven't tried it; and I mean good beer, not some American piss) - that sweet almost caramel flavor that makes you feel refreshed and light and wanting to sing and make out

Ransom is old, expensive whiskey - no matter how awful you find it, you're still tempted to take a sip, even as you glare at the pretentious, privileged brand

Curtis is vodka - strong, no bullshit game, goes straight for the punch, but if you know how to handle it he gives you the best kind of wrecked

Cole is a mojito - simply tasty, though predictable, but you had at least one year phase of ordering it over and over again

Johnny is a round of shots - challenging, playful and rapidly stripping your of any reason and inhibitions (which you'll definitely regret in the morning)

Ari is bianco vermouth&gin - balanced sweetness and herbal spice that has this thickness deliciously coating your tongue and throat, and keeps you lightheaded and floaty and just hungry for something

These are soooo accurate. Why am I not surprised Steve was tossed the favorite card? Give that boy some aperol! Spice him up, he was a fugitive!!
