summary: your best friend asks you for advice on how to impress a girl except it’s you. it’s always been you.
a/n: this would not have happened without @hollandroos who gave me the concept and helped me write it! and @spideypeach for reading, helping and just being an absolute peach. THANK YOU BOTH ILY v much.
+ it’s also my entry for my first two-week writing challenge using best friends to lovers
“Are you sure about this?”
Your best friend was pacing back and forth in your living room, one hand holding a beautiful bouquet of roses while the other combed through his hair nervously.
“Yes, Harrison. I’m sure. She’ll love them.” But you weren’t sure. The only thing you knew was that you loved flowers. You couldn’t help it that you had always been the romantic type and that just the thought of them makes your heart swell. You loved the idea of someone buying them for you because they know they’re your favorite kind or getting you chocolates because they’re just the right amount of sweet.
So when he had asked you for advice on how to impress a girl that he told you worked at the little coffee shop a few blocks away from your flat, it was simple - just buy her flowers. The gorgeous red ones that smelt perfectly like summer.
