It was a Saturday night, and Harrison was out with his friends, which he tried to do at least a few times a month. It was harder now that they were all getting busy with their jobs, and because of the fact that he wanted to spend time with you. He loved his friends, there was no way he’d be able to get by without them, but it seemed as though his mind was always on you. How you would find what Tom had just said hilarious. How you would definitely like the drink that he’d tried that night. The list went on and on.
On this particular night, Harrison was having an especially hard time focusing on the conversations his friends were having. He’d just gotten back from being away for a while, and even though he’d seen you when he’d arrived home, it hadn’t felt like enough. He couldn’t help that his mind just kept wandering back to you. His friends knew what was on his mind, and even though they were happy for him, they were definitely going to tease him about it.
“Haz? Mate, are you listening?” Harry’s voice brought his attention back to the conversation at hand.
“Yeah… Huh? Oh, sorry, I was just thinking about Y/N,” Harrison replied, feeling sheepish as he took another drink of his beer.
Tom scoffed, quirking an eyebrow, “We know, dude. You know she could come out with us, too. We don’t mind.” The rest of his friends chimed in agreement, saying “how cool” you were and that they didn’t mind if you joined.
Harrison glanced around at his friends, nose crinkling up slightly, “Are you sure? I mean, I just figured it was kind of a boy’s night thing.”
“Nah, we don’t mind,” Tom replied with a smile, “but for the meantime, just go home to Y/N. We’ll hang out again soon, yeah?”
Grinning, Harrison downed the rest of his beer and left some cash on the table to pay for his drinks, “Yeah. Cheers, boys. See ya later.”
Barely ten minutes later and Harrison was home, kicking his shoes off and joining you on the couch, wrapping his arms around you tightly. When you asked why he was home so early, he simply pressed a kiss to your forehead, mumbling, “Just couldn’t stop thinkin’ bout you, love.”

an: aw babe I'm so sorry things have been rough lately. I'm here if you ever want to talk. I hope you like this! I seriously loved how it turned out.
You and Harrison had been best friends for as long as you could remember. Growing up as neighbours, you would always climb over the fence that separated your back-yards into his, climbing down the big oak in the back corner and running to his back-door. His parents were used to you both popping in and out so often, so they decided to build a tree-house in that very tree so you could both wait for each other there instead. As you got older, the climbing over the fence didn’t happen as much, but your friendship with Harrison only grew stronger.
You were always together. In school, you were practically joined at the hip, and seeing him move away with Tom to begin this crazy journey was one of the hardest things you’d ever had to experience. You were so happy for him, for both of them, but you couldn’t deny the aching in your heart that appeared when you realized Harrison wouldn’t be waiting in that rickety old tree-house for you every day. You didn’t realize just how much you loved Harrison until he was being taken away from you, but you wouldn’t try to hold him back. Hollywood was his dream, and this was his best shot at really getting it.
