In the final version of the movie, Camilo whispered the secret with a pretty neutral expression on his face (at worst he’s a bit worried), just like how the other family members whispered to each other.

Yet in the storybook he has this big smile on his face, like he’s enjoying it or thinks it’s funny or something...

I heard that apperently during production Camilo was supposed to be “the mean cousin”? Which he isn’t in the finall product (he can be sneaky and a tease, but definitely not mean). But storybooks and merchandising are known to not always be up to date with changes made to the story and characters, so I wonder if that’s the reason.

Also... baby boy, baby.

I got my first wave of Encanto books, and there’s this adorable colouring page of Camilo playing ball with Casita!
