Basic Rules and Guidelines:
1. This is a Witcher Diversity Event for highlighting characters of color and female characters. Art and Fic must have a canon character of color and/or a female character at the center of the art/fic
2. On this note, racebending is allowed but the character at the center of the fic/art must be a canon character of color or a female character.
3. Art and fic may focus on any pairing in the Witcher fandom! The end goal does not have to be a romantic one; works may be general/friendship
4. All participating art must be submitted to [email protected] by the art deadline. Art does not need to be finished, but characters should be recognizable without labels. It should include a universe label or be labeled “ambiguous”. If there are specific story elements you do NOT want to see in your partnered fic (major squicks and triggers) please tell the mods in your submission email so that we can include that information up front. Note about the ambiguous label: only use it if you’re sure you’re okay with getting a fic written in any Witcher Universe, games, books, show, etc. Otherwise please just specify the universes you’re okay with the story being set in.
5. There are a few limits on content creation. As this is a diversity event, we are asking no slavery or plantation AUs, no underage, no whitewashing, and please be thoughtful in how you draw the characters and avoid caricatures. Racism will not be tolerated, this is an inclusive event. If you have questions, please refer to the reference masterpost or simply ask the mods!
6. If you draw NSFW content, the art will have an 18+ writer requirement during claims.
7. Artists should keep their identities as secret as possible from the larger community. Art posted for claims will not include artist names and should remain anonymous to all but the paired author(s).
8. Art should be original work and should not have been previously posted anywhere. Similarly, as this is a collaborative event, art created for this event should not be posted for commercial sale until six months after the event has ended.
9. Fanmixes/fanmix covers will not be accepted for art submissions.
10. Traditional and digital art are both acceptable for art submissions. Art entries may include more than one piece of art, but the art must all fit together into the same story.
11. Each creator may submit a total of two-three distinct works to the event (in any combination of art/fic).
12. Fic written for this event must exceed 5,000 words in length. Must be completed at the time of posting.
13. Authors and artists who fail to complete this challenge will not be allowed to participate in the next event unless a full year has passed, they complete the original challenge or they demonstrate equivalent ability.
