i'm so glad that we've largely moved past the "any instance in which a gay character is killed is automatically a bury your gays and you will not be seeing heaven" era of media discourse because i really do love it when people kill each other and desecrate the corpse/ghostly hallucination which haunts them after the fact (which also a kind of corpse)/memory (which is also a kind of corpse) of the person whose life was cut short by their hand out of world-shattering griefstricken guilt and toxic resentment for abandoning them and they used to have you killed for saying that gay people should be able to experience this
