The Jackal approaches

With a new trailer and a flurry of stills, Peacock-SkyTV have revealed the scope and intensity of their 10-part “The Day of the Jackal”series, based on the iconic 1971 novel by Frederick Forsyth, ahead of its debut next month.

This is my video using the new and previously released stills, shot by Marcell Piti. They show a shapeshifting Eddie Redmayne as the elusive assassin, a fierce Lashana Lynch on his trail, and a stellar supporting cast against international backdrops.

We have our second trailer for The Day of the Jackal 10-part series coming up in November on Peacock and Sky TV. This gives us even more of a look at the hunter-and-hunted dynamic between Eddie Redmayne’s stylish and deadly gun-for-hire and Lashana Lynch as the agent determined to neutralize him.

We have liftoff!

Production photographer Marc Brenner’s (X @brennerphotos) first photos of Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club NYC have been released. They showcase Eddie Redmayne, reprising his Olivier Award-winning role as The Emcee + Gayle Rankin, who appeared as Fraulein Kost in the 2014 Broadway revival, as Sally Bowles.

But more surprises in store as #JoelGrey who starred in the movie was in the audience (it was his 92nd birthday today) and so was John Kander who wrote all the original music. 📸 Remember our first real look at Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club London in 2021? The brilliant Marc Brenner, chronicler of UK theatre, was the man behind the lens. No wonder our pulse raced Tuesday when his Insta showed him boarding a flight for New York. Could there be a second act? Sure enough, later in the day he was standing in front of the Kit Kat Club New York, which surely means photos of the Broadway cast — led by Eddie Redmayne, Gayle Rankin + Bebe Neuwirth — now prepping for their Monday opening. We’ll be looking!!!

Not to read too much into this, BUT…

Eddie Redmayne was spotted by Deux Moi dining out at the trendy Balthazar restaurant in SoHo Saturday night with Vogue Magazine + Met Gala maven Anna Wintour.

Eddie always dazzles at the gala — + it just so happens he has the night off from his Emcee duties in Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club NYC on May 6, when this year’s gala is scheduled. Theme is “Sleeping Beauty: Reawakening Fashion,” + it’s chaired by Jennifer Lopez and Zendaya. [📸: @deuxmoi]

Eddie would certainly wake up any sleeping beauty with the edgy Harry Lambert stylings he’s worn in 2023-24, landing him once again on best dressed lists and featured in high fashion magazines.
