this bastard has a fanclub, can you believe it?
- bilingual (Spanish and English)
- doesn't have many hobbies: his life revolves around trying to rise through the hero ranks
- spends a lot of his freetime working out, but will also watch documentaries or play video games
- soft spot for animals. Good publicity from volunteering at animal shelters is a perk, but that isn't his only reason for doing it
- despite this, he's kind of an asshole to the people he works with, and is known to take fights too far
- dead ("dead"?)
- center picture is his photo on Titanium's "Meet the Heroes" page. Left of that is from the fight that killed him, and bottom right is post-Project Bullfrog

You decide to leave him with something special to remember you by, taking the scalpel and carving a little message into his ribs, ignoring his screams and pleas as you work. You have to be precise. It's not like you can erase it and start over.
If Tansy hadn't taken his place, Cerus would not have survived another lashing.
But there would be no cheers as the whip cracked down. The people have good reason to hate the Shadow King, but the image of the broken, scarred man hanging limp from the post cannot be reconciled with the tyrant they know.

The Shadow King has fallen.

sometimes you gotta take your goofiest guy and just beat the stuffing out of him

A little symmetry sounds nice. You decide to go for the artsier choice and completely remove the flesh from the top of his chest, revealing his sternum and rows of ribs.
His pleas are unintelligible as you work, screams fading into pathetic, high pitched whimpers. A time or two, you think he might pass out on you, but the stuff you injected him with earlier holds true; the drug won't let him escape into unconsciousness, just like it won't let him bleed out.
Figuwhump: Day Four
immortality =/= immune to pain, unfortunately

You decide to start with a classic: exposing the ribcage. You don a fresh pair of gloves and select the scalpel you'll use; once you hit record, you'll be broadcasting across all the comm channels the Riot Kings are suspected of using. A live feed can be a little dangerous, but you work fast. You'll be finished and gone long before a rescue mission is launched.
Once you're prepped, you start the feed and stroll over to your prisoner. He's not cursing you anymore, instead seeming to have focused his entire being on not breaking down right then and there. A tiny whimper escapes him as you place your blade parallel with his sternum and begin to apply pressure.

"Are you alright?"
It was a question Cerus hadn't heard since he was a very young boy, a question he hadn't expected to ever hear again, especially not in this coaldust-streaked hell.
He almost thought he'd dreamt it.
He'd been sick for days now, a fever burning away at his strength like fire on candlewick, and the tiresome, never-ending work had finally become too much for him. Only by some miracle had he made it out of the mountain before collapsing.
"Are you alright?"
The question came again, insisting on its own reality, and when Cerus managed to lift his head, he found himself staring into the bright eyes of a sandy-haired young man. He was half-crouched above him, an expression of concern on his face.
Concern. Didn't he know who he was standing over? Didn't he know better than to care?
