Is there any reason why you don't like Green Day anymore? 😢
the events that took place during my time in the fandom where on multiple occasions i was worried for my actual irl safety, the most recent album sucked, billie disappeared from social media, also mike‘s wife is an anti vaxxer and was encouraging people to not get the vaccine (doesn’t reflect on the band but also did not make me happy)
also tumblr died, most of this fandom is now too young for me to connect with (i’m almost 19, i feel like the median age is 14), and i got into other bands
i don’t blame green day for what fans on here did to me but i still think about it whenever i hear them. that and how it was affecting my mental health. like i was literally abusing stimulants to finish making gifsets on a deadline.
i kinda also didn’t really feel appreciated? like it’s fine, no one has an obligation to reblog anything i make, but i was obsessed with the numbers of likes and thought it reflected my worth
anybody out there?
i’m not coming back because i know at least two people irl on here who are legitimate fucking sociopaths also i don’t like green day anymore because i’m normal

I started collecting pics of Green Day (mainly Billie) when I was 12. I stopped adding to the collection around 2019 after I lost interest. Recently, I took the time to sort the pics by era, year, and event (although around 700 remain unsorted) as well as download a bunch of images from Getty.
I figured I owe it to my 12 year old self to share this with people so you can access the (100+) folders here.
