Stop counting calories, stop stressing

BEFORE

AFTER

Age: 16 years, female.

Height: 5'7" (170cm)

SW: 65kg

2 months weight: 56 kg

CW: 53 kg

UGW: Whatever makes me happy :)

I always felt really sluggish and down when I wasn’t eating well or exercising. Every night was a a binge and every morning I felt bad and gross. To lose my weight, I first changed my eating habits to be really strict (No meat, NO processed or denatured foods like sweets and cakes and no refined foods) I would always start my day with hot green tea and lemon juice, and then go do yoga. This was every other day. Three times a week I got up, drank a glass of water, and went running, no questions asked. I began with the couch to 5k program, which was really helpful to get fitness up. From there, I would run and walk for fifteen minutes to warm up and then for 30 minutes just keep running at a comfortable pace. Oh yeah, and LESS STRESS! Stress made me gain like nuts, so just chill out and dont worry, change will come. Took me like, 8 weeks.

So yeah, all it took was a clean diet, running three times a week in the mornings, and yoga every night and every other morning, just quickly if I didn’t have time.

Stop counting calories, stop stressing and ignore everything you have read, which I am sure are countless articles. Just trust the process. It isn’t rocket science.

The picture to the left is me from January 2015, I weighed 205 pounds, I was not happy I was sad, I never wanted to do anything for myself! On my 19th birthday I looked at the number on the scale and started to cry, I wasn’t healthy! On February 1st my journey began!

My mother and myself! 4 years of hard work for both us

Well not sure about my mother. But I'm 6'3 start weight about 295ish there and I'm around 190 now, 19 in before pic and 22 in the after.

My mom is 52 now so she was 48. We have been about 600 miles apart for the majority of the last 4 years

"Well as far as diet I just follow the "insanity" meal plan provided with that program and limit myself to the first 3 tiers they provide. As far as working out I started by just lifting weights and running. Then when I dropped about 50lbs. I did Insanity for the full 60 days and followed it to the letter including meals. Finished that about 5 months ago, since then just back hitting the weights/running."

Age: 21

Height: 5’10

Starting Weight: 180

Current Weight: 150

I lost 30 pounds in 3 months by eating un-processed clean foods, such as fruits, vegetables and lean meats and grains. I didn't diet, I changed my eating habits to a maintainable lifestyle. I don’t count calories, however I eat roughly 300 calorie meals every few hours. For exercise, I run 5 days/week.

Now I never thought I’d be able to post this. But these are my before and after pictures! On the left I weighed 145 pounds, I actually made it up to 150. I was so depressed about my weight and how I looked, it was awful. I was so impatient and wanted instant results so I always gave up.

I actually lost the weight maybe close to a year ago. I was living on my own with this low life I was dating that didn’t have a job, so on top of all the bills I had to pay I could barely afford food. I pretty much starved, I was down to 115.

I moved back home in December and started packing on weight again, not a whole lot but more then what I wanted to and now I’m at 119. I’ve been exercising regularly and eating healthier. Its honestly the most rewarding feeling ever! 3 years ago I would’ve never believed that I would look this good and feel this confident. That just motivates me that much more to keep working at it because I definitely still have improvement to make.

On that note, if anyone has any tips on exercises to help slim down thighs, or just any exercises in general, I would be so grateful for any advice!

1m60 Weight : hum…?

Another before and during ! I don’t feel great today , I needed a reminder of what I did, so, here it is !

No more bulimia, no more purges, calorie restrictions, 4 hours exercise a day…

My goal during these past 3 years wasn’t to lose fat but to fight ED. I did, so now a new process can begin : losing fat (not all but I would like 5 kg for my health), run a 10k with my girlfriend, start aquabiking.

And give to my body what it really needs ! Since 2 weeks aproximatly I eat for comfort huuummmph nope, food is fuel !

Keep going guys

Not everyday is easy but when you find it difficult to keep moving forward, sometimes you have to look back and see how far you’ve come to get some motivation. It’s been a slow road recovery from an ED and then losing the weight I gained back the HEALTHY way. I’ve fallen in love with fitness and I can’t wait to reach my goals!

There’s nothing like celebrating turning 25 like a progress pic!

Left: August 2013 Right: May 2014

Nothing is more motivating that wanting to show the world that you can do something. I owe this progress, and myself, a huge thank you. It not only gave me confidence in my appearance but also the mentality that I CAN DO IT. ITS AMAZING WHAT YOU CAN DO AFTER YOU FEEL SUCCESSFUL!

Stay dedicated. Stay connected with a support group. Stay positive. Stay hydrated.

I promise, I will be here to support you and everyone else! We can do this!

Very successful people are often quoted as saying that once they fixed one part of their life, other areas also started to improve without them even actively trying to change them. Also, I think working that willpower muscle repeatedly makes you trust yourself - you fully accept that yes, you can do anything you set your mind to. Happy for you, congrats!

Height: 163 cm SW: 96,5 KG CW: 77,8 KG GW: ?? When I feel healthy and happy :)

The before picture was taken a little over a year ago, when I spent a year in America. I was heavy before that, but I gained at least about 5 kilos. I was at the heaviest I’d ever been, but didn’t see a problem with it. Mostly I was convincing myself that I didn’t have a problem with it.

The reason why I didn’t want to lose weight and sabotaged myself was because I was terrified of getting breast reductive surgery. If my BMI was under 30, the insurance would cover it.

When I got back to my own country I lost about 6 kg by just eating healthier food than in America. I still ate way too much though, my mom was trying to push me into dieting but I didn’t want to.

In January this year I decided that I had enough. My back hurt 24/7 and I couldn’t even do normal things simply because my breasts were too big. I started eating way healthier, stopped eating bread for the most part, started eating less. I didn’t exercise much aside from riding my bike to places, this because my back can’t handle much.

I’ve certainly had my ups and downs, but in the last 4 months I lost around 12 kg. Now with a BMI under 30 my surgery is scheduled in 2.5 months! I was and still am terrified of cameras, hence just the face comparison. However, I believe you can certainly see my progress! Still not done yet though!

Honestly, everyone says it - but if I can do it, so can you. Believe in yourself, because I certainly do :)

I took me almost 3 years to feel kinda feminine and comfy in a dress. Getting there ;)

My prom was may 2011 and I was at my highest weight, around 117kgs, and now i’m around 83kgs. height is 173cm

I started my weight loss journey January 2012, but I had a lot of “breaks” and set backs and months filled with demotivation. Most of my weight came off i the first months. All I did is: eat healthy and enough, workout at home, in nature or at the gym, staying motivated and optimistic. I still have a long way to go, although, I don’t have a goal weight, nor a goal body, I do want to work more on shaping up my body and becoming stronger. Recently started lifting weights, and I’m in love with the results. :)

All of you keep me motivated! Stay strong, stay awesome xxx

---BeforeANDafterWeightLoss- You've always looked feminine in a dress. Fyi: 34kg = 76 pounds.

It took me 275 days of clean eating and exercising 5 days a week to get to this point! I’m hoping to hit my goal of 125-130 in the next few months.

—-Wow she actually counted how many days it took to lose the 56 pounds. Bravo!
