It’s Pronouns Day, a relatively new holiday that brings awareness of how we should use an individual’s preferred pronouns. For instance, cis and trans women prefer She/Her pronouns, cis and trans men prefer He/Him, gender non-confirming people prefer They/Them, etc. Terms like sissy or f*ggt, on the other hand, are NOT pronouns! They are nicknames, and pejorative ones as well. They invalidate people from presenting their ideal gender expression and identity. While I have no problem with you or anyone identifying as a sissy, I am not one of them. So please respect people’s pronouns, regardless of your opinion of them. I hardly ever ask this, but if you agree, reblog this post. Your pronouns are valid!
