Mr Parker: No. No, no, no. There was no plant. The information on Jarod’s rendezvous with his parents came from a phone tap we’ve had on St. Catherine’s for over 30 years. Yes, Mr. Lyle. Uh, Jarod got away, but…You want me to come in? What for? Let’s talk now. Whatever you say. I’ll be with you shortly. We will. You have my word. Thank…

[1.22 - Dragon House: Part 2]

First time we ever hear someone mentioning “Mr. Lyle”…

Raines: They need me, now more than ever. As well as my children. Jarod has to be returned. Parker: So, it is back to normal. Raines: With a twist. Whichever of you two brings Jarod back will also have a long-term future here and a future in the Parker legacy. Parker: And whoever fails? Raines: Be careful when you joke about beheadings. Your brother has shown me a sign of loyalty. I’ll be awaiting a sign from you. Parker: I’ll have to get back to you on that. [Island of the Haunted]

Raines: You look surprised to see me. Parker: Well, after the way the Africans were behaving on the tarmac in Morocco, I figured a beheading was in order. Raines: After they understood that Jarod broke free on the jet and, sadly, killed Adama and his guards, then parachuted away with the scrolls, they were forgiving, and especially proud of the way Mr. Parker gave his life trying to save what was theirs. Parker: Quite a bedtime story. Lyle: It kept us alive. All of us. [Island of the Haunted] I hate being the one to remark this, Lyle, but... It didn't kept you alive. At all. It actually killed you =( And I love the fact that Miss Parker is so annoyed by Raines' lies about Jarod being Adama's killer. She looks so angry!

Parker: Yes! Jarod: Not so fast. Parker: What? Jarod: The good news is we’re going to be landing in about 10 seconds. The bad news is the landing gear is not deploying properly. So hold on! We’re going to crash! Raines: Jarod! Damn it! Lyle: Come on! This thing’s gonna blow! [Island of the Haunted]

Jarod: Lyle, of the three panels, the middle one is burned out. We need to circumvent it and reestablish the circuit by connecting the wiring of the other two. Parker: Yellow to yellow, green to green, blue to blue! Raines: You’ll blow up the whole system if even one wire is crossed! Jarod: We’re going down fast! Raines: Come on! Come on! Lyle: Okay! Okay! Just one connection to go! Damn! Raines: What? Jarod: We’ve got about 30 seconds before it’s too late! Parker: Jarod, he’s got three wires left! Only one of them is blue! What should he do? Jarod: Lyle, you have to choose carefully! Parker: In other words, guess! Jarod: And pray that he’s right. Raines: Lyle, pick one, damn it! Pick one! [Island of the Haunted]

Raines: What happened? Parker: Daddy jumped with the scrolls, and there’s no parachutes! Raines: Flight crew’s dead, and the controls are damaged! What the hell do we do now? Jarod: Well, I would suggest that you un-cuff the one person who can fly this thing and save your life! Parker: Do it! Jarod: I have to get to the cockpit! Miss Parker, come with me! [Island of the Haunted] Ok, so Jarod wants Miss Parker to go with him. =) I think that was to make us see them close and together for a few more seconds...

Adama: Make sure they’re clean. Parker: Not today, cowboy. Lyle: Mind if I get a blanket? They keep these damn jets cold as morgues. Man: Get your damn blanket and sit down! Parker: So Jarod was right. Raines: Tell Mr. Parker we’re on and to get ready. Parker: Ready for what? Lyle: Just do it. [Island of the Haunted] I love this moment! Miss Parker saying, 'Jarod was right' is something she should have said since the beginning of the show (and she never said anything like that out loud). But there's a first time for everything, even if it took her five years! I think this moment really gets along with this one (in 4.18), when Miss Parker follows Jarod's leads and goes to the cemetery to dig up Catherine from her grave. When Broots begs her to think about it, she answers: Parker: Jarod’s done a lot of twisted things but he would never lead me here just to torment me. That was the only other time Miss Parker really showed someone else how much she's always trusted Jarod. That's why moments like these are so precious.

Parker: What’s the advantage of betraying the Triumvirate? Jarod: The supposed power of the so-called prophecies have been leverage the Centre’s been using for years to keep the Triumvirate at bay. You people don’t really believe those things are real, now do you? Mr. Parker: The only thing that really matters is that the Zulus believe. Jarod: So if the scrolls become in the possession of the Triumvirate in Africa, the Centre’s power base is history. And I’m guessing your mother discovered this years ago. Parker: And if she found the scrolls, then- Jarod: She would have had all the leverage of the Centre. Parker: Or the leverage to end it. Are we getting warm? [Island of the Haunted] This scene is really wonderful, with Miss Parker getting on the plane and taking *that* turning point. If you think about it, when she makes this choice and follows her fatherS on the plane, she saves Jarod's life. Then there are those lovely glances they cast at each other... First when Jarod sees her entering the cargo hold: he is surprised, relieved and glad at the same time, his eyes are so full of love for Parker at that moment. And second when she exits, this glance looks like total trust and agreement, for the first time. I love him nodding at her and she staring at him so intently. But actually I don't know where to start to tell you how much I love this 'Are we getting warm'. Jarod and Parker are the one speaking here, they explain so many things to us about the scrolls. And it's the first time they're using their acknowledgment *TOGETHER* and not from opposite sides of the quest. They aren't competing anymore, it's not their usual 'First one to the answers wins', here. They're working together against the Centre. And they've finally discovered something important, together. So, when Parker tells her father, 'Are *WE* getting warm', I'm pretty sure that Mr. Parker realizes that he failed with her, that she actually is her mother's daughter and that Miss Parker really trusts Jarod. Are *we* getting warm means that Miss Parker has finally understood that she and Jarod must cooperate to find the truth.

Parker: Suspicious of what? Jarod: You, Miss Parker. Your being on board fouls up their plans to double-cross Adama and the Triumvirate. You see, now that the scrolls have been authenticated, Mr. Lyle and your father- or, uh, should I say "fathers"- are going to parachute out of here with their prized possessions- the scrolls...and me. Unfortunately, I only see four parachutes. And you, Miss Parker, make...five. [Island of the Haunted]

Avatar

Parker: I’m still waiting for my answer. Mr. Parker: Not now, Angel. Parker: Don’t "Angel" me. I wanna know which one of you two is my real father. Now! Lyle: Wait, now. I don’t know what this paternity suit-thing is about but I do know that this is not time or the place for it. Now, when we get back to Blue Cove- if we get back- we can talk about family matters then. Parker: What do you mean, "if"? Mr. Parker: Adama thinks you’re bad luck. And we certainly don’t want him to be suspicious! [Island of the Haunted]

Avatar

Mr. Parker: Adama has authenticated the scrolls with the Triumvirate. He’s the happiest Zulu this side of Rompala. No surprise there. Parker: Yeah. I’ve had my fill of surprises too. Like the one I just got about who my real father is. [Island of the Haunted] I already mentioned this, but...I can't help it, just look at Jarod's face when he sees Miss Parker entering the jet cargo hold. It's just a glance, but it means *everything* for this show. It's a look that says it all, it says, 'Yes, she rejected me before, but it's ok because she got on this plane. She's taking that turning point, she's here to have answers...and maybe to save me, because she cares'. Miss Parker is on the plane, so she TAKES that turning point. And by doing so, she saves Jarod's life too.

Adama: If it isn’t another Parker. Surprised to see you here. Parker: Really? Considering my family has been running this place since... Adama: The Triumvirate runs the Centre. You leave us now. Parker: You harm one hair on my father’s head, Adama, and so help me... Adama: I never liked you either. Broots: Miss Parker. Parker: Now now, Broots. Broots: No, no. It has to be now. I- I found Jarod. [Island of the Haunted]

Lyle: Hey, Sis. We gotta get out of here. Parker: Why? Lyle: They say so. Parker: What are Adama and his Triumvirate goons doing here? Lyle: Well now that Dad’s awake and, uh, conscious, they are taking over his protection. They want him isolated. Parker: Why? They afraid of what he might say or who he might drool on? Lyle: I don’t know. But I have a feeling it has something to do with a vault on SL15 they blew to pieces last night. Parker: Looking for what? Lyle: Hell if I know. Parker: What do you bet Raines has something to do with this? Lyle: Doubt it. He hasn’t even resurfaced from his latest disappearing act. Truth is, don’t know, don’t care. When these crazy Zulus get this pissed off, all I do is follow orders. And now that Dad’s brains are as scrambled as yesterday’s eggs, they’re gonna need someone else to put in charge around here. Consider me an applicant. [Island of the Haunted] Ah, Ah. I just love Lyle =)
