Almost nobody from the government benches even turned up to hear the Marriage Equality Bill. I don’t even like Bill Shorten, he’s a twat but that sort of shows the common sense that is attached to this law. It is just common sense and the right thing to do, to give every Australian the human right to be married. It’s a free vote…yes it’s one step closer but it’s JUST a free vote. The least the Liberal party could do is fucking show up and to say they will use their vote, even if it is a “no”. This is just plain rude, disrespectful, and brushing off people’s human rights as illegitimate. Stop being so fucking childish, Tony Abbott and get your shit together.
