Happy International Women's day 💜 may this day be filled with love, acceptance, appreciation for those who have fought for what we have achieved this far, and intersectional feminism xx
First day with these babes was overall pretty good ✌️
Food for thought. People need to just stop in the middle of their racist slurs and think for a second.
Not in Sydney this week but if anyone is in the Wollongong area, not feeling safe, I'll be on the train to uni and #illridewithyou
It makes me so so sad to know that people that I know, people that I went to school with, people I have pretty much grown up with make statements on facebook such as "I would belt my son if he asked for a barbie for Christmas" in relation to a recent topic in Australian politics. The Greens party have asked for parents to be aware of the gender roles and stereotypes this Christmas that children's toys often advocate. Now, I am a supporter of this and I agree that parents need to listen to what their children want however, I understand that the greens could possibly have gone about this very important topic a different way. In saying that, it is the first time anything like this has been properly addressed in Australian politics. Gender roles and ideals can lead to suppression and all kinds of bad and denying a child the right to play and have fun with the toy of their choice, whether it be pink or blue, should not be an issue that causes so much bigoted uproar from people that don't even understand what is going on in the first place.
Spring has got me in a good mood 🌞🌸✌️
