I was petty upset last week after finding out about the Pulse shooting. I had uni assessments due on the day and didn't get to a vigil. So I did what I felt was all I could do: make art. These are just a couple of simple paintings I did over the week. A week later I am still angry. I will never forget this time we are living in. I can't even begin to imagine how scared people within our community are at the moment, especially those for whom this particular incident was closer to home. In a world filled with such hate though there is beauty, there is love and there is pride. They can't break us. Stay strong, be angry, fight back in whatever way you can, however minor you think your voice is, and keep loving. Wear your identity like armour. Never apologise for being. Spread love.
