I did a thing. It me.
I was petty upset last week after finding out about the Pulse shooting. I had uni assessments due on the day and didn't get to a vigil. So I did what I felt was all I could do: make art. These are just a couple of simple paintings I did over the week. A week later I am still angry. I will never forget this time we are living in. I can't even begin to imagine how scared people within our community are at the moment, especially those for whom this particular incident was closer to home. In a world filled with such hate though there is beauty, there is love and there is pride. They can't break us. Stay strong, be angry, fight back in whatever way you can, however minor you think your voice is, and keep loving. Wear your identity like armour. Never apologise for being. Spread love.
I’ve had my hair cut, I’ve had my art in an exhibition, and I’m feeling good
Etsy Store
Please help support my art career! I have set up an Etsy store with both original art works and a series of prints. I will be listing more art as I do it. I’m hoping to make some money from my creations so please check it out!
Thank you,
Love and hugs from Milli
I passed my second year of uni with: 2 credits for English Lit History, as well as Film History. A Distinction for Art and a High Distinction for History Research!
This is my 21st birthday gift from my parents and I will treasure it forever. This tattoo holds many different meanings to me. Sunflowers are my favourite flower. They're bright, they make me smile and they feature in some of Vincent Van Gogh's paintings, who is one of my favourite artists.
The geometric pattern in the middle is called "the flower of life". It is a geometrical pattern that makes up and represents everything in the universe. Leonardo da Vinci studied the pattern for years and as have many others who have found it in ancient historical places. It represents for me a connection to the universe, to life, to art and to happiness.
“The flower of life” was also featured of the cover of an album which helped me through a pretty dark time in my life, a couple years ago; Sempiternal by Bring Me The Horizon.
And so for these reasons, life is now tattooed onto my arm.
I'm at the "so stressed that my belly hurts" stage now
Baby came to save me from uni work yesterday 💛🐝
Freckles, stray curls and maps on my way to work this morning 🐝
This is what happens when this art kid gets invited to a masquerade
I am extremely proud of what I have achieved this week while working as Poncho Army's assistant. The first time I have worked on a wall of such massive scale (18 x 5 meters) and the first time I have ever done freehand spray painting.
