GRAH thank you so much. Yes, that scene was so fun to write, I really wanted that sense of urgency, joy, fear, etc all shaken up in there. I'm so glad you like how I've developed their relationship! This AU is so fun because it's so separate from the canon universe, so I'm glad it feels still in character and compelling and romanticcccc. Thank you for this!!! Being a Sonamy trashcan and seeing all the incredible art, fanfiction witting and general community is always inspiring.

Being someone that could not really contribute as I wasn't an artist or a writer made me feel I HAD to change that.

So, I picked up some tools to try my hand at art. 1 Week in I am loving falling into the zone getting those lines and colors right. I am having a blast!

I am VERY fortunate to have the amazing @misstangshan95 on my side giving me tips and advice.

So here is the first bit so to say! Of course inspired by @beeextraordinary123 beautiful story 'What Was Stolen'. Please go read it!

Um so that chapter came out when I had about 20 minutes to spare before I was supposed to get picked up to go to dinner at someone's house and I speed-read it because my bestie @thewritingautisticat had texted me screaming that the next chapter had come out and my very soul shattered reading it and then my ride arrived and I was like "HOW AM I EXPECTED TO ACT NORMAL AT A STRANGER'S HOUSE NOW AFTER THAT AKDNSKFJAKJDKSKDKS" anyway even though it was extremely painful I loved it and made this and yeah!

Hey everyone! New chapter of WWS has been posted. Thank you for the break, and I hope you really enjoy this one. Can't wait to hear your thoughts. Also, wanted to drop you all this gorgeous artwork along with this chapter. Friend of the fic @kazziemuse commissioned the incredibly talented @nintendoni-art to make this for me and the fic while I was (and am) going through a really hard time, which is unfathomably kind of both of them, and has lifted my spirits so immensely. Please go give N'oni some love and a follow, they are too talented not to get absolutely gassed for this.

I heard this song earlier this summer, it's from like Aquaman or something but thinking about Sonamy in the context of "What Was Stolen," this song made me think SO MUCH of them. Especially as they got to know each other better. And ESPECIALLY in the scene when they finally kissed, before they did, when Sonic was emotionally protesting that he wasn't worth fighting for and how he was thinking that she meant everything to him and tHE FEELING IS MUTUAL AND AUUGGHHHH anyway both me and my bestie just started crying as we listened to the song with the new context and I thought I'd let you know 🥹🥹🥹

Update on "What Was Stolen" Coming to a Close!

Hey everyone - thread on the coming final chapters of What Was Stolen here.

Long story short, WWS is going to be 33 Chapters long total! I'll be releasing 9 Chapters one at a time throughout Oct/Nov/Dec, and then releasing the final 2 chapters together on Dec 31st! It's been such a beautiful ride with you all, and I'm so delighted to bring this story to a close and get started on the next one with the rest of this year. Don't be sad friends - it's not "What Was Stolen" anymore, it's What Comes Next!!!! Woooooo!

The look they shared then was much the opposite from the one they had shared earlier in the day. The thread of tension was once again taut between them, but the world around them was slow and silent this time, as they drank each other in for what they each suspected might be the final time.

THIRD piece of fanart for "What Was Stolen." @beeextraordinary123 you have absolutely destroyed me and you'd better know it. 🥹😫🤩😭

(I just keep going back to it and sobbing on my bed like an idiot wanting what they have and frantically making a list of all my favorite scenes that I want to draw)

This was supposed to be the scene that took place a night after he found out she was the Princess, when they reconciled but all she could do was put her head on his chest and hug him. I know she was hugging him too, but the angle was a little tricky so I just, ah, made it even more angsty? 😅 sorry

Currently on my second reading of "What Was Stolen" by @beeextraordinary123 and seeing everyone else making fanart I just HAD to. This scene wasn't overly crucial I guess but I saw it in my mind so I drew it 😁 More to come for sure!

Lol so idk what a pageboy outfit actually looks like so I just took a guess. Also, I'm still working on perfecting 2D lighting, ESPECIALLY on clothing, so if the lighting looks weird, my apologies. I'm trying. 😂
