titty
I stole this off the Stranger Things subreddit and filled it in with the lads.
A silly little observation from “Charge.” “Charge” is the 11th episode of Season 2 of Attack on Titan, the 36th episode overall, based on Chapter 47 of the manga (“Children”). Spoilers for this episode and beyond.

MAPPA’s wink wink moment
I believe this BUT did Jean shrink or did Reiner hit puberty for the tenth time and get another growth spurt?
REIJEAN
*Deep breath* -
- My boy Floch Forster, mansplaining something to the Azumabito, living as he died. Also wore his anti-personnel uniform AND his Scout coat and skirt to the pictures, just in case anyone thought he was a civilian for even a second.
- I thought Hange came in their uniform too, but it’s just a grey coat cut to look like their formal uniform that they’ve accessorised with a medal.
- Pieck in her stolen Scout uniform, lmao.
- No one wants to sit with Yelena even in the afterlife so she’s just creeping on Zeke in the back.
- Levi: “The manga was better.”
- Annie and Armin are holding hands on the MC Escher armrest (seriously: Armin’s torso is to the left of the armrest but his legs are to the right of it. Maybe Annie is so mad because she had to break the laws of physics to touch her man?)
- Eren definitely copping a feel behind Falco’s head.
- Jean’s gonna throw the rest of that Pepsi over Reiner so they have a plausible excuse to go hang out in the bathroom together for some time.
- Brauns squabbling with their best boy sweethearts: a family trait.
- Magath and Shadis not pictured because they’re already kissing under the seats in the back row.
Imagine passing out after witnessing the start of the apocalypse. Then imagine you’re woken up by a kick to the face from someone you assumed died four years ago and visually hasn’t aged. On top of that she’s with people who were trying to kill you as of two days ago.
God damn that must’ve been surreal as hell. Saw a ghost AND his sworn friends turned enemies. I never considered until today how absolutely terrifying this moment probably was for Reiner.
Gabi left Reiner to rest here with some mouldy old bread as a snack, telling him “I’ll be back with everyone.”
I always thought that was a Choice from Gabi, but then figured maybe she thought, “Eh, fuck it, he’s a Titan Shifter, he can shake off any food poisoning.”
So, what if Reiner woke up for a bit off-screen, also thought, “Eh, fuck it, I’m a Titan Shifter, I can shake off any food poisoning,” ate his furry rolls, and went back to sleep, and then woke up and found that the “everyone” Gabi came back with were some enemies and a ghost?
Reiner assuming the Alliance were a fungus-induced hallucination would definitely explain three panels of this face.
(The furry rolls are still visible here actually, so I guess he didn’t eat them, BUT STILL.)

I get that it’s to convey Reiner’s PTSD and to build a sense of doom, but it’s wildly funny to me that the context of Reiner looking this distraught is “had to interact with an enthusiastic child doing a good deed.”
