Here's Hermann Herz & die Infarkts. Your argument is invalid:
I have literally never heard of any of them, but it's nice that someone is giving trans/genderqueer musicians exposure. Just one question: do any of them do 70s/80s-style rock and metal?
So, is there anybody out there who still discovers music the old-fashioned way without Spotify or any other music algorithms? I'm talking about methods such as buying music on physical formats, searching for genres on Google or Discogs, or just randomly screwing around on YouTube until something interesting comes your way. Like and/or reblog if you're one of those people.
Hey, if anyone's looking for a quick, easy, effective way to remove vocals from songs, I recommend Tunebat. I've only tried it with one song thus far, and the results weren't perfect, but it's the best method I've used thus far. Best of all, Tunebat also allows you to look up songs and find out their key and tempo.
So today, I was thinking about what genres of music the characters of My Hero Academia's Class 1-A would like, and while I already posted about a few, I decided to do a list for all of them. Some of you may have different ideas, but that's OK with me so long as you don't flame me.
MIDORIYA: He’s not picky, but he really loves classic rock, mainly hard rock, blues rock, Southern rock, glam rock, hair metal and plain heavy metal. He’s also big into disco.
BAKUGO: Loves death metal, black metal, hardcore punk and grindcore.
TODOROKI: Loves NWOBHM, thrash metal and speed metal. He’s also big into Polish rock from the 80s, such as Budka Suflera, Lady Pank, TSA and Azyl P.
URARAKA: Loves mainstream pop, house and techno pop.
IIDA: Loves classical music, ambient music and mathcore.
ASUI: Loves synthpop, electroclash, house and techno.
KIRISHIMA: Loves metal in general.
KAMINARI: Loves hard rock and metal.
MINETA: Loves whatever he thinks the ladies will appreciate. Mainly, this consists of 70s R&B/soul such as Barry White, Marvin Gaye, Isaac Hayes and Teddy Pendergrass. However, he’s also a huge Prince fan.
YAOYOROZU: She’s not picky, but she seems to prefer house, techno and R&B, plus some rock.
TOKOYAMI: Really loves metal, but is really into electronic music as well, mainly electronic disco, electro funk, industrial, synthwave, ambient and musique concrète.
ASHIDO: Loves metal, old school rap and synthwave.
HAGAKURE: Loves pop, synthpop, some rap and synthwave.
AOYAMA: Loves disco, Hi-NRG, house and techno.
OJIRO: Has no real preference, just whatever’s popular at the moment.
SERO: Has no preference in terms of genre, but really loves older music because he loves collecting music on analog formats such as vinyl, 8-track, reel-to-reel and cassette.
SATO: Loves metal in general.
JIRO: Loves punk, metal, grunge and alternative rock in general.
KODA: Loves classical music and folk music.
SHOJI: Loves classic rock, blues, jazz, big band and swing.
Here's another MHA headcanon: Not only is Tokoyami a big metalhead, but he really loves electronic music, particularly electronic disco, electro funk, industrial, synthwave, ambient and musique concrète.
OK, so I'd like to take a break from Sonic stuff to tell you about this fun website I discovered back in 2006. It's called AmIRight, and it's all about funny music stuff such as misheard lyrics (aka "mondegreens"), music trivia and music games. However, my favorite part of the site is the "Parodies" section. Basically, you can take almost any song, rewrite the lyrics and become an amateur Weird Al! You don't even have to make recordings of your works, though they have a section for that as well. Just be careful, there seems to be a shadowy cabal of people there whose sole mission in life is to downvote parodies they don't agree with. Hopefully, you can rise up and put an end to that toxicity.
Another Sonic headcanon: In order, from top to bottom, Shadow's top 5 heavy metal bands are:
1. Iron Maiden
2. Metallica
3. Vader
4. Diamond Head
5. Slayer
As promised, here’s another Sonic headcanon from me: though Shadow doesn’t totally share Sonic’s music tastes, he’s secretly happy that the Blue Blur has found a variety of music that he’s happy listening to.
Another Sonic headcanon: Cream secretly enjoys heavy metal. When she has an opportunity, she’ll try to find Shadow so she can hang out with him and headbang.
While looking for rare funk/disco tracks, I came across a gem of an LP from the Bruton Music label, titled “Speed Fever”. This is one of my favorite cuts. I don’t know much about the artist, though. If you wanna hear more from this album, let me know!
This movie is awesome. If you haven't seen it yet, it's available on Blu-Ray in the US.
